Related Documents: <br /> <br />1. Drawings and general provisions of the Subcontract apply to this Section. <br /> <br />2. Review these documents for coordination with additional requirements and <br />information that apply to work under this Section. <br /> <br />B. Section Includes: <br /> <br />1. Removal, repair, encapsulation, enclosure and other abatement of asbestos- <br />containing materials as specified herin and shown on drawings. <br /> <br />2. Compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations pertaining to <br />work practices. <br /> <br />3. Protection of workers, visitors to the site, and persons occupying areas adjacent <br />to the site. <br /> <br />4. Provide medical examinations and maintain medical records of personnel as <br />required by the applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. <br /> <br />5. The scope of this work does not include the manifesting, transporting, or <br />disposal of hazardous waste. The University will manifest, transport, and dispose <br />of hazardous waste that has been properly packaged, labeled, and stored by the <br />subcontractor. <br /> <br />6. The University’s review and approval of the asbestos abatement subcontractor’s <br />Asbestos Compliance Work Plan (Attachment A) describing the means and <br />methods of asbestos related work prior to work commencing. <br /> <br />C.
