THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />PROJECT NO. 21-1011 <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT RELOCATION TO ANNEX <br /> <br />Project No. 21-1011 November 2024 014300 QUALITY ASSURANCE-3 <br />C. Additional information as may be required by Representative and Architect/Engineer of <br />Record to assure acceptability of the Contractor's Quality Assurance Plan. <br /> <br />3.3 HOLD POINTS <br /> <br />A. The Quality Assurance Plan shall include provisions for hold points for the Representative <br />inspection using the Contractor's Quality Assurance Plan. <br /> <br />3.4 RECORDS <br /> <br />A. Records for all tests, audits and inspections performed, including data on conforming as <br />well as nonconforming items shall be included in the Quality Assurance Plan. Calibration <br />certification shall be maintained by the Contractor at the job site, at all times, throughout <br />the construction. The Representative and the Architect/Engineer of Record reserves the <br />rights to inspect the records system as often as deemed necessary to ensure compliance. <br /> <br />PART 4 - NONCONFORMANCE AND REPAIR ACTION <br /> <br />4.1 RESPONSIBILITY <br /> <br />A. The Contractor shall be responsible for all costs associated with the removal of components <br />and/or devices, the shipping charges to and from the Contractor's facilities and the costs <br />associated with their reinstallation and/or repair. The Contractor shall be responsible for <br />meeting with Representative to determine the schedule of repairs. <br /> <br />4.2 COMPENSATION FOR UNRESPONSIVENESS <br /> <br />A. In the event the Contractor fails to comply promptly with its obligation under these <br />specifications or with a request by Representative to repair, replace or correct failed <br />components, devices, equipment and/or materials, MDC shall upon written notification to <br />the Contractor, have the authority to deduct the cost of labor and materials from any <br />compensation due or to become due to the Contractor. In the event the Contractor has <br />been paid, the Contractor agrees to compensate MDC for its costs thereof. <br /> <br />4.3 REPAIRS AND ADJUSTMENTS <br /> <br />A. During the entire warranty period, any and all repairs and/or adjustments by the Contractor <br />shall be documented by the Contractor. A copy of the repair reports shall be submitted to <br />Owner weekly. Each repair or adjustment shall be documented by Date, Time, Equipment, <br />Type of Failure, Location, Type of Repair/Adjustment and By Whom. <br /> <br />PART 5 – MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> <br />5.1 MEASUREMENT <br /> <br />A. Work under this Section will not be separately measured for payment. <br /> <br /> <br />END OF SECTION <br />
