Samples of Aluminum finishes. <br /> <br />7. Samples of Aluminum finish glass, gaskets, sealant & other components. <br /> <br />8. 6-inch length of each break metal shape. <br /> <br />F. Submit proof of ten-year experience as specified under Quality Assurance paragraph. <br /> <br />1. Submit proof of compliance with Quality Assurance paragraph. <br /> <br />G. Submit maintenance manual, including finishes. <br /> <br />1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> <br />A. All elements of exterior curtain walls, including clips, reinforcing fastenings, anchorage of <br />glass shall be designed by Florida Registered Engineer to safely resist wind loading, <br />deflections, racking, air infiltration and water penetration limits as shown on the drawings, <br />as required by the Florida Building Code, 2001 Edition. <br /> <br />B. Laboratory Tests: Provide tests specified under Performance (paragraph 1.04) by an <br />independent commercial test laboratory verifying that curtain walls including glazing will <br />safely resist positive and negative wind loading, deflection limits required by the applicable <br />code and authorities having jurisdiction. <br /> <br />1. Provide static test on water penetration through curtain wall assembly verifying <br />that there will be no water leakage. <br /> <br />2. Provide air filter test through curtain wall assembly verifying that there will be no <br />air filtration. <br /> <br />C. Structural Support Movement: Provide curtain wall systems that accommodate structural <br />movements including, but not limited to sway and deflection. <br /> <br />D. Structural Performance: <br /> <br />1. Deflection of framing members perpendicular to the plane of the wall shall not <br />exceed L/175 of its clear span. <br /> <br />2. Deflection of framing members parallel to the plane of the wall, when carrying its <br />full load, shall not exceed 0.125 inch. <br /> <br />E. Fabricator: Curtain wall systems shall be fabricated and shop assembled by a fabricator <br />with ten years of satisfactory experience in designing and installing aluminum glazed <br />curtain wall systems of the type required herein and who is capable of performing all design <br />fabrication in his own plant. <br /> <br />1. Metal Finishing: Performed in one finishing plant, which shall be licensed by the <br />aluminum producer. <br />
