Glassalum. <br /> <br />2.2 MATERIALS <br /> <br />A. Aluminum Alloy Extrusions: ASTM B221, 6063-T5. <br /> <br />B. Aluminum Alloy Sheet and Plate: ASTM B209, 5050-H32 or temper best suited. <br /> <br />C. Structural Steel Rolled Sections and Plate: ASTM A36. <br /> <br />D. Concrete Expansion Anchors: All metal type of stainless steel, self-drilling type Federal <br />Specifications FF-S-325 (3) (57), Group III, Type 1, Fig. 15A, or Type 2: drilled in Group <br />II, Type 3, Class 3; or Group Viii, type 1, Group II, Type 4, Class 1 Externally threaded <br />expansion bolts. Lead, fiber or plastic type expansion anchors are not acceptable. Sizes in <br />accordance with curtain wall manufacturer=s design. <br /> <br />E. Fasteners: Fabricated from stainless steel in accordance with manufacturer=s written <br />recommendations, and approved shop drawings. <br /> <br />F. Gaskets: Extruded elastomeric of solid and bulb type as standard with manufacturer. Color <br />as selected by the Architect/Engineer. <br /> <br />G. Exterior Glazing Seal: Synthetic polymer tape, unless otherwise recommended/required by <br />curtain wall manufacturer. <br /> <br />H. Sealant: Structural silicone rubber in strict accordance with system manufacturer=s <br />requirements. Exposed sealant colors shall be as selected by the Architect/Engineer. <br /> <br />I. Curtain Wall System Glass: 9/16-inch-thick laminated glass as specified in Division 08, <br />Section: Glazing. <br />J. Curtain Wall System: Inside glazing with provisions for reglazing from outside or inside. <br />K. Flashing: Provide built-up sheet aluminum flashing as required to provide a weathertight <br />installation. Finish exposed portions of flashing to match aluminum framing. <br /> <br />L. Provisions shall be made for expansion and contraction of component materials. <br /> <br />M. For aluminum frame swinging glass doors, unless otherwise noted, specifications in this <br />Section are based on entrance units as manufactured by Kawneer Company, Norcross, <br />Georgia. Entrance units as manufactured by YKK Architectural Products, Atlanta, Georgia <br />are also acceptable subject to meeting performance and size requirements of the Drawings <br />and specifications in this Section. <br /> <br />N. Products of other manufacturers, which meet the requirements of the Drawings, this <br />Section and the Kawneer 1600 Wall System published specifications will be accepted, <br />provided application is made as specified in Division 01, Section: Substitution Procedures, <br />of these Specifications and approval is obtained from the Architect/Engineer. <br /> <br />2.3 ALUMINUM FINISH <br />
