THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />PROJECT NO. 21-1011 <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT RELOCATION TO ANNEX <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Project No. 21-1011 November 2024 017800 CLOSEOUT SUBMITTALS-1 <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 017800 <br />CLOSEOUT SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> <br />1.1 SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION <br /> <br />A. Substantial Completion shall be determined in accordance with Paragraph 2.38, <br />SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION, PUNCH LIST, and FINAL ACCEPTANCE of the Special <br />Conditions and this Section. Should a conflict arise between the Special Conditions and <br />this Section, the Special Conditions shall take precedence. See Attachments 15, 16, and <br />17. <br /> <br />1.2 FINAL CONSTRUCTION REVIEW <br /> <br />A. When Contractor considers work is complete, he shall submit a written certification that <br />work is acceptable and that: <br /> <br />1. Contract Documents have been reviewed. <br /> <br />2. Work has been reviewed for compliance with Contract Documents. <br /> <br />3. Work has been completed in accordance with Contract Documents. <br /> <br />4. Equipment and systems have been tested in the presence of the <br />Architect/Engineer on Record and are operational. <br /> <br />5. Work is completed and ready for final Construction Review. <br /> <br />B. The Architect/Engineer will make a Construction Review to verify status of completion <br />with reasonable promptness after receipt of such certification. <br /> <br />C. Failure of the Architect/Engineer of Record to Reject Work During Construction: If, during <br />construction operations or during inspections for substantial or final completion, the <br />Architect/Engineer should fail to reject defective Work or materials, whether from lack of <br />discovery of such defect or for any other reason, such initial failure to reject shall in no <br />way prevent his later rejection when such defect is discovered, or obligate the Owner to <br />final acceptance, and the Contractor shall make no claim for losses suffered due to any <br />necessary removals or repairs of such defects. <br /> <br />1.3 CONTRACTOR'S CLOSE-OUT SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />A. Upon receipt of notice of acceptability from the Engineer, the Contractor shall furnish <br />evidence of compliance with requirements of governing authorities and Contract <br />Documents to the Architect/Engineer of Record, as follows: <br /> <br />1.
