The Contractor shall submit request letter at least two weeks prior to conducting pre- <br />construction and post-construction inspections. The letter shall indicate the means and <br />methods of documenting site conditions. <br /> <br />B. Pre-Construction Inspection Report: For all existing physical facilities within the area of <br />influence of proposed construction activities to Borough for review and approval, two <br />weeks in advance of scheduled work activities. <br /> <br />C. Post-Construction Inspection Report: For all existing physical facilities within the area of <br />influence of completed construction activities to Borough for review and approval. <br /> <br />1.3 COORDINATION <br /> <br />A. Coordinate work of this section with other section requirements to assure safety and <br />efficiency in temporary relocation of existing physical facilities. See Section 01179 <br />Remove, Store and Reinstall Existing Facilities for additional requirements, as required. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.1 GENERAL <br /> <br />A. The Contractor shall provide labor, materials, tools and equipment required for inspection <br />and documentation of existing physical facilities (i.e. electrical grounding system, HVAC <br />equipment, components, etc.) within the area of influence of proposed construction <br />activities. <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.1 PRE-CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION <br /> <br />A. Prior to commencement of any demolition work, perform a Pre-Construction Inspection <br />Report of all existing physical facilities within the area of influence of proposed <br />construction activities. Document existing conditions of physical facilities which could be <br />misconstrued as damage resulting from demolition work. <br /> <br />B. The Contractor shall provide the following, as a minimum, for each survey: <br /> <br />1. Conduct a detailed examination of all existing physical facilities located on the <br />rooftop of the Baden Borough Public Library. <br /> <br />2. Document the examinations with color still photographs and/or videotapes. <br />Document the conditions observed in writing or by verbal description on the video <br />tape, noting in particular evidence of damage or defects. The scope and number <br />of photographs and videos shall be sufficient to document all pre-existing <br />conditions. <br /> <br />3. Interview facility maintenance personnel regarding existing conditions, known <br />damage or defects, and historical building damage or repairs associated with the <br />proposed work area.
