ENROLLED <br />2025 Legislature <br />SB 2-C <br />20252Cer <br />668 such law enforcement agency in, or prohibit the agency from: <br />669 (e) Providing a federal immigration agency with an inmate's <br />670 incarceration status or release date; e -r- <br />671 (f) Providing information to a state entity on the <br />672 immigration status of an inmate or detainee in the custody of <br />673 the law enforcement agency;— <br />674 (g) Executing a lawful judicial warrant; or <br />675 (h) Participating in a federal immigration operation with a <br />676 federal immigration agency as permitted by federal and state <br />677 law. <br />678 Section 16. Section 908.1031, Florida Statutes, is created <br />679 to read: <br />680 908.1031 State Board of Immigration Enforcement; creation; <br />681 purpose and duties. - <br />682 (1) The State Board of Immigration Enforcement is created <br />683 within the Department of Law Enforcement, composed of the <br />684 Governor and Cabinet, which shall be referred to as the board. <br />685 The Governor and Cabinet shall serve as the agency head of the <br />686 board. The board shall be a separate budget entity and shall be <br />687 exempt from s. 20.052. All board action shall be by unanimous <br />688 vote. The board shall not be subject to control, supervision, or <br />689 direction of the Department of Law Enforcement in any manner. <br />690 (2) The board shall appoint an executive director to assist <br />691 in the implementation of its responsibilities. <br />692 (3) The board is the chief immigration enforcement officer <br />693 of the state and shall: <br />694 (a) Serve as a resource for the United States Immigration <br />695 and Customs Enforcement. <br />696 (b) Coordinate and cooperate with the Federal Government in <br />Page 24 of 51 <br />CODING: Words men are deletions; words underlined are additions. 257 <br />
