ENROLLED <br />2025 Legislature <br />SB 2-C <br />20252Cer <br />842 (a) Subletting detention beds to the United States <br />843 Immigration and Customs Enforcement. <br />844 (b) Equipment, travel, and lodging related to 287(g) of the <br />845 Immigration and Nationality Act, 8 U.S.C. s. 1357, program. <br />846 (c) Training programs, including certified apprenticeship <br />847 programs, related to supporting the enforcement of federal <br />848 immigration laws. <br />849 (d) Hardware or software essential to assisting the Federal' <br />850 Government in its enforcement of federal immigration laws. <br />851 (3)(a) A local law enforcement agency may apply to the <br />852 State Board of Immigration Enforcement to provide bonus payments <br />853 for the agency's local law enforcement officers who participate <br />854 in United States Department of Homeland Security at -large task <br />855 force operations. The local law enforcement agency may apply for <br />856 a bonus of up to $1,000 for each local law enforcement officer <br />857 employed within that agency. The local law enforcement agency <br />858 must certify to the board that the local law enforcement officer <br />859 participated in one or more operations and provide any <br />860 information required by the board. Eligible participation does <br />861 not include operations occurring solely at state correctional <br />862 facilities or county detention facilities. <br />863 (b) The bonus payment shall be adjusted to include 7.65 <br />864 percent for the officers' share of Federal Insurance <br />865 Contribution Act tax on the bonus. <br />866 (4)(a) Grants shall be awarded on a first-come, first - <br />867 served basis based on the date the State Board of Immigration <br />868 Enforcement received each completed application.
