The rules shall establish <br />903 procedures to implement and carry out this section, including a <br />904 process for reviewing and taking action on the grant <br />905 applications in bulk or as part of a consent calendar. The rules <br />906 shall include application requirements and establish supporting <br />907 documentation necessary for the board to make decisions. The <br />908 rules may allow for the executive director to approve grants of <br />909 up to $25,000 without board approval. <br />910 Section 19. Subsections (3), (4), and (5) through (8) of <br />911 section 908.104, Florida Statutes, are renumbered as subsections <br />912 (4), (5), and (7) through (10), respectively, subsection (1) and <br />913 present subsections (5), (6), and (8) are amended, and new <br />914 subsections (3) and (6) are added to that section, to read: <br />915 908.104 Cooperation with federal immigration authorities. - <br />916 (1) Consistent with all duties created in state and federal <br />917 law, state and local law enforcement agencies and any official <br />918 responsible for directing or supervising such " law ,..n feiceeffien <br />919 agency shall use best efforts to support the enforcement of <br />920 federal immigration law. This subsection applies to an official, <br />921 representative, agent, or employee of the entity or agency only <br />922 when he or she is acting within the scope of his or her official <br />923 duties or within the scope of his or her employment. <br />924 (3) A state entity, local governmental entity, or law <br />925 enforcement agency, may not prohibit or in any way restrict a <br />926 law enforcement officer from executing or assisting in the <br />927 execution of a lawful judicial warrant. <br />928 (6) Upon request from a federal immigration agency, a <br />Page 32 of 51 <br />CODING: Words eek n are deletions; words underlined are additions. 265 <br />
