<br />• Oversaw the construction of 329 projects
<br />valued in $284 million, 245 of these projects
<br />($114M) were completed successfully completed
<br />during her performance.
<br />• Responsible of developing policies, proce-
<br />dure, and standards for the newly created Con-
<br />struction Management Division, in order to obtain
<br />the necessary means of controls that guaranteed
<br />all projects would be completed within budget
<br />and schedule; while minimizing impacts to the
<br />City's citizens.
<br />• In charge of the resolution of over
<br />$35,000,000 construction related legal disputes
<br />existent prior to my incorporation to the City's
<br />staff.
<br />• Engineering, architectural, administrative,
<br />technical personnel, and consulting firms, solely
<br />responsible to manage all municipal public works
<br />and capital improvement projects for the City of
<br />Fort Lauderdale.
<br />• Oversight the bidding and contractor se-
<br />lection processes.

<br />struction standards for projects.
<br />• Approval of all change orders proposed to
<br />the City's Mayor, Commissioners and Manager in
<br />term of time and cost.

<br />• Responsible of resuming and complet-
<br />ing the construction of the Joseph Carter Park
<br />Project ($6,000,000+/-), on behalf of the Surety
<br />(The Hartford Fire Insurance), immediately after
<br />the original contractor was terminated by the
<br />Owner.
<br />• In charge of negotiating, settling, and
<br />reassigning existing subcontract agreements and
<br />purchasing/negotiation with new Subcontractors
<br />when necessary.
<br />• Responsible of managing up to 110 sub-
<br />ordinates, which included superintendent, field
<br />personnel, subcontractors, administrative staff,
<br />etc. Responsible for the purchasing, estimating,
<br />scheduling, and invoicing, the project required,
<br />as well as coordinating between the different
<br />consultants.
<br />• In charge of negotiating and settling
<br />all claims against the Owner and assisting the
<br />Surety's Counselors in all disputes with the previ-
<br />ous contractor.

<br />supervision of the production of all contract
<br />administration documents including requests for
<br />information, shop drawings, change order
<br />requests, pay applications, computerized
<br />construction schedules, as well as the
<br />correspondence to the architects and engineers,
<br />owners, and subcontractors, etc.
<br />• Responsible of identifying problems and
<br />potential issues with the plans, specifications and
<br />subcontractors.
<br />• Produce meeting minutes of construction
<br />department job site meetings, and meetings with
<br />architects, engineers, and owners.
<br />• Responsible of the production of
<br />requisitions, schedule of values and updating to
<br />job cost reports.
<br />• Prepare estimates - and corresponding
<br />schedules for bids and the purchasing depart-
<br />ment with, as well as performing value engineer-
<br />ing, as necessary.
<br />• Effectively monitor and permit and sub-
<br />mittal approval process, in order to prevent
<br />impacts to the schedule.
