Once the project is awarded, we will schedule a
series of meetings/processes that will focus on planning, risk mitigation, client satisfaction and
contract documents compliance. Some of these include:
• Team Review prior to the commencement of the physical work of the plans, specifications
and contract documents with Lunacon pre -construction and construction team. This will
take into consideration valuable input from Trade Partners which will facilitate valuable
information such as: equipment procurement, delivery and installation timeframes.
• Subsequent quality review meetings are conducted by the Project Manager, General
Superintendent and in-house Quality Director / Coordinator. We encourage the participation
of the A/E in these meetings and to confirm the schedule for periodic monitoring and
inspections. This process contributes to Lunacon's reputation for on-time and on budget
delivery.
• When appropriate, Lunacon will add value to the A/E in the event conflicts arise, to ensure
timely resolution of design concerns that could affect the schedule.
• At every stage of the project, Lunacon will keep these questions in mind: Are we meeting the
Owner's requirements and expectations?" "Are we honoring LUNACON's values: Integrity,
Courage, Resourcefulness, Excellence, Work Ethics.
Pre -Award Meetings: The Team will conduct pre -award meetings with all subcontractors prior to
issuing their contracts. We will follow the LEAN Construction methodology to take into
consideration, scope, phasing, equipment delivery, shutdown, etc.
Project Partnering Meeting: There will be a partnering session, initiated by the Lunacon with the
owner, with all selected subcontractors as soon as selection is complete. The Critical Path schedule
will be presented at this meeting, and the process of issue and conflict resolution will begin. Close
coordination with the Owner's Commissioning agentwill be required since the submittal process up
until close out and training.
Project Kick-off Meeting: We will conduct a project kick-off meeting with the owner, end user and
subcontractors prior to commencing construction.
Quality ControUTask Analysis Meetings: Prior to each major task commencing on-site, a series of
quality control/task analysis meetings will be held to confirm that the subcontractor is compliant
with the scope and that all necessary shop drawings and submittals are approved and on file. During
these meetings, we will also clarify how the task will affect factors, such as project safety, other
subcontractors' activities, maintenance of traffic plans and overall project schedule. Our team's
quality control plan has three phases that encompass pre -work, work and post -work for each major
task.
Activity Hazard Analysis: Every task is subject to activity hazard analysis. This analysis is a
component of our risk management plan. Potential hazards created by the task and to the task are
identified and analyzed for potential impact. A weighted average will be assigned to each identified
Lunacon Engineering Group Corp dba.
