JL
Ili
LUNRCOK
YOUR CONSTRUCTION PARTNER
compliance with all corporate safety policies per the published corporate safety manual, all OSHA
requirements, Safety requirements, and full compliance with USACE EM -385-1-1 and any specific
base requirements. Please note that all our Project Managers and Superintendents are cross trained
in Safety.
How Lunacon Promotes Construction Safety. To promote Safety on all our project job sites and
keep our customers as involved as possible in our safety activities, Lunacon has developed the
following procedures for use with all our government and private customers. We are currently using
these programs in all our current projects:
• Monthly Safety Briefing: The safety manager sets the attendance of all local Lunacon
employees for the monthly government/contractor safety meeting as a priority. In addition,
government quality control and safety personnel are invited (and encouraged) to attend
these meetings. Maximum employee participation is always achieved.
• Monthly "Onsite" Safety and Quality Control Audit: The Lunacon Site Safety and Health
Officer and Quality Control Managers physically conduct a monthly "on-site" safety and
quality control audit at all construction sites. The audit consists of a safety and quality
control standard inspection of all sites, performed under a checklist of critical safety and
quality control items, and conducted by a competently trained and responsible professional.
All construction work sites are validated and scored according to Lunacon safety and quality
control standards. The results are posted for aLL the employees (superintendents and
supervisors) to "learn from the mistakes of others" and "to learn from good ideas of others."
• Monthly Safety Bulletin: The Lunacon safety and quality control manager publishes and
distributes a monthly Safety Bulletin, which identifies safety and quality control trends over
the last month and identifies noteworthy safety and quality control issues pertinent to the
current construction activities.
• Local Weekly Safety Administrative and Equipment Reviews: The Site Safety and Health
Officer/Safety Manager physically conducts a weekly safety administrative and safety
equipment review of all construction sites. This review uses a standard checklist of
administrative safety items of concern, and the validation of safety equipment maintained at
the construction job site. The primary focus for the onsite safety review is to ensure all
"onsite" safety administration requirements meet identified safety standards and that aLL
"onsite" safety equipment meets the identified safety standards.
• Project Site Visitors: All persons visiting the project site shall sign in at the site office, be
accompanied by an authorized escort while onsite, wear a hard hat, comply with all project
safety rules, and sign out upon leaving the project facility. This policy promotes the safety
and security of all visitors.
• Mandatory PPE: On the project site, all workers and site personnel must wear mandatory
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses, hard hats, and leather safety -toe
shoes. This policy has reduced personnel injuries for employees and subcontractors.
Lunacon Engineering Group Corp dba.
