1
LUNRCO
serious or imminent danger violations warrant immediate action, up to and including
termination and removal from the project to include subcontractors Any supervisor
or manager who knowingly exposes workers to imminent danger situations is also
subject to immediate termination. This policy is also discussed with each
subcontractor and is included in the subcontract issued for the work to be done on
the project. Lunacon may disqualify any subcontractor for future work at its sole
discretion for safety concerns such as, but not limited to, poor safety performance,
repeated safety violations, or other unsafe acts.
Protection of the workforce, subcontractors, buildings, and equipment. As the prime contractor,
Lunacon is fully responsible for the safe execution of work for this contract, which involves
protecting the workforce, including our subcontractors, buildings, and equipment during
construction. Our approach to integrating our Safety Program with our subcontractors promotes a
safe working environment for the project team and an incident -free attitude and commitment from
all onsite personnel. Employees and subcontractors must always comply with the safety
requirements of EM 385-1-1 and Lunacon's approved corporate and project plans,
Stop work authority on the grounds of safety is granted to everyone. An accident prevention
plan and health and safety plan will be developed for each project, specific to the Location and
complexity of the work to be completed.
Lunacon ensures that all workers, including subcontractors, comply with EM 385-1-1 and all OSHA
and state standards that apply to the work performed. We train employees in relevant hazards and
hazard control methods, including PPE and fire/emergency procedures, and require our employees
to work safely, follow applicable safety rules, standards, regulations, and contract provisions, and
take meaningful and effective action to hold employees accountable for noncompliance. This flows
down to the subcontract agreements, where we expect all contractors to adhere to Lunacon's safety
culture.
Lunacon requires that all project worksites be reviewed daily to identify existing workplace hazards
and ensure employees and subcontractors follow prescribed safety procedures. Where hazards are
found, either promptly correct them or implement interim controls to protect employees until they
are corrected. Lunacon stresses the importance of recording and reporting all employee injuries as
required by 29 CER Part 1904, "Recording and Reporting Occupational Injuries and Illnesses," or
applicable state OSHA requirements.
We act immediately when notified of serious/recurring safety problems, including removing
subcontractors, employee(s), and equipment from a project site or suspending work (including
subcontractor activities) pending satisfactory resolution of said safety problems. Since multi -task
execution potentially affects all site personnel, any person (including subcontractors) has stop work
authority upon observation of a potentially unsafe activity on site.
Lunacon Engineering Group Corp dbo.
