City of Sunny Isles Beach - ITB 25-01-01 City Annex Building Construction Renovations Phone: (786 ) 608-1 4 06 - Mailing: PO Box 558482, Miami, FL 33255 - www.waypointci.com Section 4 - Bid Response Part 4 Approach and Methodology Staging Area and Access • The building slated for renovation and improvements is located within the City of Sunny Isle City Hall complex. The construction site shall be accessible through the alleyway north of NW 178 street, after turning west from Collins Avenue. Vehicles and equipment leaving the site shall exit through the front road between the City Hall parking garage and the construction site, heading east to Colins Avenue and then turn south on Collins Avenue. • A 6ft high construction fence with entry and exit gates, equipped with windscreen, shall be provided and installed to secure the entire perimeter of the work area. • The portion of the building designated as future improvement shall be utilized as the construction site office and operations area. • The five existing spaces at the front of the building shall be utilized for the contractors’ parking. Portions of the existing ground parking shall be used for sub-contractors and work crew parking. Other parking area as designed by the City shall be utilized accordingly. • All deliveries shall be received at the area designed for loading at the west side of the building within the fenced area. Spaces available around the facility shall be utilized for laydown area and material storage area. • All dumpsters, trash removal containers and temporary toilet(s) shall be stored within the fenced construction site. All dumpsters shall be emptied regularly once filed and shall not be left completely emptied at the end of the work. Proposed Sequencing • The work sequence is to be completed in a single phase from start to finish. • The work includes site demolition, building structural and selective demolition, concrete cutting and misc. site removal. All debris generated from side demolition shall be disposed of immediately to a landfill area. • Engineered shoring design shall be provided to support any elements of work that are to be protected and supported during the wall cutting process. • Once all the exterior and structural demolition of complete, the helical plies shall be installed and the new support for the building addition shall commence.
