The receptionist <br />has the following responsibilities: <br /> <br />• Ensure the visitor's log is kept up to date (i.e. names are clearly printed, Check-in <br />and Check-out times, etc) <br />• Take visitors to log during an evacuation to ensure visitors are accounted for during <br />roll call <br />• Receive Emergency Services as needed during an emergency and communicate <br />arrival to EEL <br />It is important that the Lobby Attendant/Receptionist has a backup and that it is designated <br />as part of the Incident Management Team. <br /> <br />3.0 - Incident Notification and Response Procedures <br /> <br />General Response Procedures <br />In the event of an incident, follow these steps: <br /> <br />1. Stay calm. Do not panic. <br />2. In the case of fire evacuate the building. If you identify the fire, pull the nearest <br />station and exit the building <br />3. Go to your designated gathering point and await roll call <br />4. In the case of all other incidents, notify your Supervisor, who will notify the <br />appropriate emergency response teams, if necessary <br />5. If you have visitors, ensure you take them with you to your designated gathering <br />point <br />6. As necessary, the EEL will conduct an investigation after the site has returned to <br />normal activities <br /> <br />Evacuation Procedures <br />Evacuation Signal <br />The official signal for evacuation during any type of emergency will be the use of the <br />Fire Alarm system which consists of a speaker system the is heard in all work areas, in <br />addition to this two-way radios are used to communicate among all company employees.
