Page 5 of 10 <br />When required by specific OSHA standards, the company will comply with OSHA <br />standard 1910.165 <br />Employees <br /> <br />Once an evacuation is initiated by activation of the fire emergency alarm, all employees <br />must walk to the closest designated emergency exit. The Emergency Evacuation <br />Supervisors will direct the person to the nearest, safest exit. <br /> <br />Employees must leave everything behind and ensure an immediate evacuation, for their <br />safety and the safety of others. <br /> <br />These key points must be taken into consideration: <br /> <br />• DO stop all work. <br />• DO exit through the nearest door, and go directly to Gathering Point. <br />• DO follow instructions. <br />• DO know your Emergency Evacuation Coordinator <br />• DO NOT run. <br />• DO NOT lag behind. <br />• DO NOT make any unnecessary noise. <br />• DO NOT stop at your locker, desk or work station for personal belongings. <br />• DO NOT go to the restroom. <br />• DO NOT return to the building until advised to do so. <br />• DO NOT go home unless authorized to do so. <br />• DO NOT attempt to move the vehicle(s) unless instructed to do so. <br />• DO NOT block emergency vehicle thoroughfares <br /> <br />Emergency Evacuation Supervisors Duties <br /> <br />Once an evacuation has been implemented, EES should quickly and thoroughly sweep the <br />assigned evacuation zone, directing personnel to leave the evacuation area and proceed to <br />their designated Gathering Points <br /> <br /> <br />Emergency Evacuation Lead Duties <br /> <br />• The EEL will have continued communication with the Emergency evacuation <br />supervisors <br />• The EEL will analyze the current situation and determine any of the following: <br />▪ If calling 911 will be necessary <br />▪ If site personnel need to be relocated away from the site <br />▪ If it is safe to return to the building <br />• If it is safe to return to the building, the EEL will give the “ALL CLEAR” to the EES <br />who will then direct the employees back to the building
