BA led the transformation of Sullivan Park into a vibrant waterfront
destination that strengthens community connections, expands public
access to the intracoastal Waterway, and celebrates Deerfield Beach’s
unique identity. The revitalized 3.2-acre park includes playgrounds, picnic
shelters, a restroom pavilion, an interactive water feature, a 12-slip marina,
a waterfront promenade, and a new stair tower linking the park to the city’s
beachfront district. A signature 50-foot-diameter mosaic installation, created
by a local artist, serves as the centerpiece of the interactive water feature
and highlights the site’s historical significance.
Complementing the park improvements, BA designed the adjacent
7,000-square-foot Community Center as a flexible gathering place for
residents and visitors. Elevated to maximize the site, the facility incorporates
parking and office space at grade, community and event spaces on the
upper level, and a covered outdoor terrace with panoramic intracoastal
views. The architecture reflects the character of Deerfield Beach while
creating a cohesive extension of Sullivan Park, resulting in a landmark
waterfront destination for recreation, education, community events, and
civic engagement.
CLIENT
City of Deerfield Beach
SIZE
3.2 acres
COST
$11 million
COMPLETION
Ongoing
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Master Planning, Architecture, Landscape
Architecture, Marina Design, Civil Engineering,
Construction Management, and Public
Outreach
SULLiVAN PARK PHASE i
Deerfield Beach, Florida
14 | CiTY OF SUNNY iSLES BEACH | RFQ #26-07-01 CONTiNUiNG PROFESSiONAL ARCHiTECTURAL AND ENGiNEERiNG CONSULTiNG SERViCES (CCNA)
