Continuous Schedule Monitoring
CAP does not consider a schedule to be a document that is prepared once and then set aside. The Project Manager
will continuously monitor project progress against established milestones and completion dates.
During the course of the assignment, the Project Manager will evaluate:
Progress against scheduled activities and milestones;
Status of required technical information and field data;
Staff availability and workload;
Interdisciplinary coordination requirements;
Outstanding Client decisions or comments;
Third-party coordination requirements;
Quality control and review activities;
Changes in scope or project priorities; and
Potential impacts to the final completion date.
This ongoing monitoring allows CAP to identify schedule risks early rather than waiting until a deadline is approaching
Proactive Management of Schedule Risks
CAP takes a proactive approach to potential schedule impacts. When the Project Manager identifies an activity that
may affect the established schedule, the issue will be evaluated immediately to determine its cause, potential impact,
and available corrective measures.
Depending on the circumstances, CAP may:
Reallocate personnel to critical activities;
Add qualified staff to accelerate production;
Adjust the sequence of project activities;
Prioritize critical-path tasks;
Increase internal coordination;
Accelerate technical or quality control reviews;
Conduct additional coordination meetings;
Expedite preparation of interim deliverables; or
Coordinate with the City regarding information or decisions needed to maintain progress.
The City's Project Manager will be notified promptly of significant issues that could affect the established completion
date, along with CAP's recommended corrective action and anticipated resolution.
Our objective is to identify and resolve schedule issues before they become deadline issues.
RFQ No. 26-07-014.2 - Overall Project Organization
RFQ No. 26-07-01
Q: How will CAP organize its project team, resources, responsibilities, and
coordination to successfully complete assignments for the City?
C.A.P.
