Submitted August 2026 Page 29 <br />RFQ RESPONSE – City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />RFQ # 26-07-01 | CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL & <br />ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES (CCNA) <br />As part of trip assignments, Miami-Dade Cardinal distributions per the latest Long Range <br />Transportation Plan (LRTP) will be assessed as well the engineering judgements and assumptions. <br /> <br /> <br />Additionally, <br />4.3.Traffic Operations and Intersection Analysis <br />CALTRAN employs FDOT's Florida <br />Quality/Level of Service (QLOS) <br />Handbook methodology and HCM <br />7th Edition procedures for capacity <br />analyses, complemented by <br />Synchro/SimTraffic and VISSIM <br />microsimulation for complex or <br />signalized corridor studies. All models <br />are calibrated to local conditions <br />using field-collected traffic count <br />data, ensuring that analyses reflect actual operating conditions on Sunny Isles Beach roadways. Signal <br />warrant studies are conducted per MUTCD Chapter 4C, with data collection plans designed to capture <br />the significant seasonal demand variations characteristic of coastal resort communities. <br /> <br />4.4.Parking & Circulation Planning <br />Traffic Modeling and Forecasting: Example of transportation modeling software <br />used by CALTRAN engineers. <br />BIG DATA MODELS BRING BIG ADVANTAGES <br />CALTRAN has extensive experience working with Big Data transportation analysis applications such as TomTom,Streetlight, HERE, AirSage, <br />and STRAVA to improve overall transportation efficiency.
