City of Miami Gardens Traffic Calming Study (Miami-Dade County) (2024) | In this traffic study, I evaluated different traffic
strategies to improve pedestrian, cyclists, and vehicular safety within 5 different roadway segments within the City of Miami
Gardens. I analyzed and evaluated existing vehicular volume counts, speed data, crash data, and existing traffic conditions. I
considered warrants and requirements for installation of speed humps following the Miami-Dade County guidelines. I assisted
in determining recommendations that included roundabouts, raised intersections, crossing islands, and speed humps in order
to increase safety and the perception of safety for motorized and non-motorized users; Contact: Bernard Buxton-Tetteh, (786)
Geometric Lane Reconfiguration at NW/NE 159th Street from NW 7
th Avenue to NE 7
th Avenue (Miami-Dade County)
(2024) | In this traffic study, I assessed existing traffic conditions and operations at crucial intersections within the studied
segment. I conducted LOS and queue analysis for existing and proposed conditions using synchro 11 software. I evaluated
traffic operations of proposed conditions which include the implementation of a traffic signal at the intersections of NW 159
th
Street & NW 7
th Avenue, implementation of exclusive left turn lanes at the intersection of NE159
th Street and NWW 2
nd Avenue.
I conducted a traffic signal warrant analysis based on proposed traffic conditions at the intersections of NW 159th Street at NW
7th Avenue in order to determine if the implantation of a traffic signal was justifiable. Finally, I was responsible to provide
conclusions and recommendations based on the findings of the above-mentioned evaluations for this traffic study before it was
submitted to Miami-Dade County; Contact: Gabriela P. Ramirez, (305) 535-7727, gabriela.ramirez@kimley-horn.com.
Commodore Trail Revitalization/Master Plan Traffic Analysis (Miami-Dade County) (2023) | In this traffic study for the City
of Miami, I analyzed the existing and proposed traffic and road safety conditions for the Commodore Trail Revitalization/Master
Plan in Miami-Dade County. The Commodore Trail is a five-mile non-motorized route connecting the Rickenbacker Trail and
the Old Cutler Trail at Cartagena (Cocoplum) Circle. As part of this study, I analyzed crash data to detect any crash patterns
related to pedestrians and bicyclist in order to recommend safety improvements. In addition, I evaluated traffic data to determine
if the proposed new roadway configuration will be able to operate at an acceptable arterial level of service; Contact: Rosado-
Vision Zero (Miami-Dade County) (Professional Services for Transit and Public Works Projects) (2023) | In this traffic, I
conducted a road safety analysis to identify high-injury locations and high-crash locations throughout Miami-Dade County. I
analyzed crash data and police reports to identify crash patterns, crashes related to vulnerable users, and high-injury locations.
Finally, I provided safety improvement recommendations in order to improve road safety; Contact: Lorin Brissett, (954) 928-
TargetSpeed Analysis at SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard at SR 5 / US-1/ N Federal Highwayfor FDOT (PD&E Services) (2023)
| In this traffic study for the FDOT District 4, I evaluated and recommended a target speed within the area of influence of the
intersection of SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard at SR 5 / US-1/ N Federal Highway. I analyzed speed and traffic data in order to
recommend a target speed that would provide safe mobility to all road users at the study location. Finally, I was responsible for
providing recommendations such as a transitional posted speed zone north of the study intersection and installing flashing
speed feedback signs; Contact: Carlos M Cejas,(305) 908-3941, ccejas@GFNET.com.
City of West Miami Speed Reduction Analysis (West Miami Contract for Professional Service) (2022) | In this traffic study
for the City of West Miami, I conducted a speed reduction analysis on all residential streets throughout the city. I analyzedspeed
and traffic data in order to recommend speed limits that improve vehicular, pedestrian, and bicyclist safety. The traffic evaluation
was based on the guidelines and procedures outlined in the FDOT manual Speed Zones for Highways & Streets in Florida.
Finally, I was responsible for determining all the residential streets where a speed reduction from 30 mph to 25 mph could be
recommended based on speed data, traffic data, and field observations; Contact: Juan Pena, (305) 266-4214,
