<br />Cristian Callejas is a civil engineering professional with six years of experience supporting complex
<br />infrastructure, resiliency, utility, and vertical construction projects throughout South Florida. His
<br />background includes construction-phase engineering, permitting, utility coordination, shop drawing
<br />and RFI review, site reconnaissance, technical reporting, structural threshold inspection, materials
<br />testing, and QA/QC. He has contributed to major stormwater, water, and wastewater improvements,
<br />including coastal resiliency programs, large-diameter transmission mains, force main rehabilitation,
<br />and mixed-use developments. Currently pursuing his civil engineering degree, Cristian combines
<br />practical field experience with a strong academic foundation and a commitment to safe, high-
<br />quality, and sustainable project delivery.
<br />West Avenue Phase III Improvements, Miami Beach, FL: Staff Engineer. CES is serving as the Lead
<br />Engineer to deliver this neighborhood resiliency project to mitigate chronic flooding in the City of Miami
<br />Beach’s West Avenue South neighborhood. Improvements include comprehensive stormwater, water,
<br />and sanitary sewer upgrades. Responsibilities include supporting project management and progress
<br />meetings; utility coordination; preparation of specifications and technical narratives; harmonization restart
<br />and redesign plans; property-owner meetings and coordination; and assisting with the development of
<br />the stormwater drainage permit set, including permit meetings, application, and issuance.
<br />West Avenue North Neighborhood Utility and Resiliency Improvements, Miami Beach, FL: Staff
<br />Engineer. CES is the Lead Engineer for this coastal resiliency design-build project upgrading
<br />stormwater, water, and sanitary sewer systems within the dense West Avenue North corridor. The
<br />project includes construction of a new 120,000 GPM stormwater pump station with water quality
<br />treatment and dissipator discharge structure, major stormwater system upsizing, and full roadway and
<br />utility reconstruction to improve flood protection and reliability. Responsibilities include providing
<br />engineering services during construction; participating in project progress and coordination meetings;
<br />reviewing and approving shop drawings and RFIs; reviewing property drawings and coordinating site
<br />visits; conducting site reconnaissance; preparing technical reports; and managing submittals and
<br />coordination with the Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources.
<br />MDWASD Red Road 54-Inch Water Transmission Main from Preston WTP to West 53rd Street,
<br />Hialeah, FL: Staff Engineer. Project consists of site investigation, engineering, design, survey,
<br />technical specifications, permitting, construction, testing, and commissioning activities for the
<br />construction of 3.1 miles of 54” diameter DIP transmission main, including ±1,500 LF of tunneling
<br />for the 54” diameter carrier pipe and a 72” O.D. steel casing pipe at crossings with canals, railroads,
<br />highways, and major intersections. The project also includes installing all required fittings and valves,
<br />manholes, ancillary piping, tapping, utility relocation temporary bypass, and tie-in connections,
<br />Maintenance of Traffic (MOT), cleaning, disinfecting, and testing the new water transmission main,
<br />and restoring all areas disturbed by construction activities. Responsibilities include assisting with
<br />construction phase services, including project closeout.
<br />City of Fort Lauderdale, Rehab/Replacement of 48”/54” Force Main from SE 9th & 10th Avenue to
<br />GTL WWTP Design-Build (Redundant-Redundant), Fort Lauderdale FL: Staff Engineer. The project
<br />involves the rehabilitation/replacement of 15,150 LF of existing 48-inch and 54-inch force main and
<br />the installation of 8,220 LF of new 48-inch force main, totaling 23,370 LF of pipeline improvements.
<br />Scope includes design, permitting, utility relocations, construction procurement assistance, and
<br />limited construction support. Responsibilities include assisting with post-design construction
<br />administration of phases A, B, and C, in addition to permitting.
