<br />Signing and Pavement Markings
<br />Ena is a professional engineer with 21 years of experience in Transportation
<br />Engineering. She has a solid background in the design/management phase services
<br />related to transportation projects with experience in highway/roadway design,
<br />horizontal/vertical alignment, storm water management, drainage, maintenance
<br />of traffic, signing and pavement markings, signalization, construction estimates,
<br />preparing Design Exceptions/Variations, Specs, and Pavement Design Selection
<br />Reports. Representative project experience includes:
<br />Miami-Dade County DTPW, FL, NE 16th Ave. Corridor, from NE 123rd St.
<br />to NE 135th St. (0.76 miles).* Project manager and engineer of record for the
<br />reconstruction of a 2-lane roadway, which includes a striped center turn lane,
<br />sidewalks, curb & gutter, bike lanes, continuous storm drainage system, pavement
<br />markings, and signage, signal modifications, landscaping, and coordination of street
<br />lighting plans designed by another consultant. Ena’s responsibilities included the
<br />design of the Roadway, SPM, and signalization.
<br />Miami-Dade County DTPW, FL, SW 137th Ave., from US1 to SW 200th St.
<br />(3.26 miles).* Engineer of record for the new construction of SW 137th Avenue,
<br />which will initially be constructed as a four-lane divided facility between US1 and
<br />SW 248th Street and a two-lane undivided facility between SW 248th Street and SW
<br />200th Street. This project includes horizontal and vertical design, drainage, traffic
<br />control, signing and pavement markings, lighting, environmental specifications, and
<br />coordination with DERM and SFWMD. Ena’s responsibilities included the design of
<br />the roadway, SPM, and lighting.
<br />Florida Department of Transportation - District 6, FL, SR-826 / Palmetto
<br />Expressway from US-1/SR 5/South Dixie Highway (MP 0.0) to SR 836/Dolphin
<br />Expressway (MP 7.3)*. Project engineer for SR 826 improvements to implement
<br />one express lane between US-1 and SR 874 and two express lanes in each direction
<br />between SR 874 and SR 836. Roadway reconstruction along SR 826, 20 bridge
<br />widening, 13 new bridges, and five bridge replacements are required to implement
<br />PD&E Alternative 2B. In addition, the following express lanes access points are
<br />included: northbound direct connect from transitway, northbound ingress from
<br />US-1 / SW 88th Street, northbound direct connect from SR 874, northbound direct
<br />connect to SR 836 eastbound, northbound egress to NW 25th Street / SR 826,
<br />southbound ingress from NW 25th Street / SR 826, southbound ingress from SR
<br />836 westbound, southbound direct connect to SR 874, southbound egress to SW
<br />88th Street / US-1, southbound direct connect to transitway. Ena’s responsibilities
<br />included roadway design of affected side streets, which included widening, milling,
<br />and resurfacing of SW 88th Street, SW 72nd Street, SW 56th Street, SW 40th Street,
<br />SW 24th Street, SW 8th Street, and Flagler Street.
