She is experienced in analyzing and designing grading and drainage
systems for residential, municipal, and commercial projects, as well as stormwater
management systems for major right-of-way and highway improvements using
FDOT, county, and municipal standards. She is proficient in the hydraulic modeling
of stormwater management systems using HEC-RAS, ICPR, HY-8, ASAD, and
BMPTrains, and is skilled in the application of ArcGIS for watershed analysis and the
design of drainage systems. Angela is also experienced in procuring permits and
permit close-outs from municipalities, local counties, FDOT, SFWMD, and state and
federal agencies. She is also a Certified Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP)
from the Institute of Sustainable Infrastructure. Representative project experience
includes:
Florida Department of Transportation - District 6, SR 25/Okeechobee
Road Conceptual Drainage Master Plan, FPID No. 447828-1-52-01. Project
manager responsible for developing a Conceptual Drainage Master Plan for SR
25/Okeechobee Road (Dade/Broward County Line to NW 79 Avenue). This report
outlines the methodology of the design of the stormwater management systems for
the entire corridor and the design of pollution reduction and attenuation facilities
in the corridor. It will also serve as a supplement to the Conceptual Environmental
Resource Permit application package. Angela coordinated with FDOT, the South
Florida Water Management District, Miami-Dade DRER, and the U.S. Army Corp of
Engineers to ascertain that the Stormwater Management Master Plan addresses the
needs of all the regulatory agencies. Angela prepared the report and coordinated
with the different subconsultants responsible for each segment.
Florida Department of Transportation - District 6, NPDES Outfall Assessment
Program. Project engineer assisting with implementing procedures and practices
related to investigating the specific conditions of the outfalls serving the state
highway system, the general conditions of the stormwater systems associated with
these outfalls, and the proposed recommendations to address critical issues. Tasks
include data collection to obtain and review the existing outfall database, review as-
builts, inspection reports, GIS inventory, and coordination with FDOT Maintenance
and Easement and Right-of-Way Evaluation. The final recommendation/outfall
assessment report included updating the GIS database. Angela is responsible
for the technical aspects of evaluating the conditions of existing outfalls, and she
is in charge of gathering as-built information for piping upstream of outfalls and
preparing the reports that assess the benefit/necessity to perform maintenance
improvements or upstream piping upgrades.
Florida Department of Transportation - District 6, Districtwide Drainage
Design and Plans Review Consultant Services. Project engineer responsible
for reviewing drainage projects, providing comments to input into the ERC system,
and providing drainage design services for push-button projects. Tasks include
drainage analysis, design, and permit review services; retrofitting existing drainage
systems; permit compliance; hydrologic/hydraulic modeling; drainage feasibility
studies; analysis and design of drainage “push button” projects; and urban and rural
drainage system analysis and design.
000105.000
000030.000
Education
Florida International University, FL,
B.S. in Civil Engineering (2008)
Registration
Professional Engineer: FL No.
76984 (01/17/2014)
Envision Sustainability
Professional: No. 50592 (2022)
Memberships and Affiliations
American Society of Civil
Engineers
Florida Engineering Society
FIU Dean’s List
Chi Epsilon
Tau Beta Pi
