<br />Ivonne has over 28 years of experience designing water mains, sewer gravity and
<br />force mains, paving and drainage systems, and permit procurement for residential
<br />and commercial projects in South Florida. Ivonne is experienced in designing
<br />different pipeline systems, including water and force mains, gravity sewers, pump
<br />stations and stormwater systems using the applicable WASD, FDOT, Miami-Dade
<br />County, Broward County, and other municipal standards. She has been the lead
<br />design engineer for various projects, including hotels in the Caribbean, such as
<br />Santa Lucia Hotel and Resort Pansea, and Parque Central Hotel. Ivonne is highly
<br />proficient in MicroStation, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and Internet Navigational
<br />skills. Representative project experience includes:
<br />Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department, FL, 36-inch WM along NW
<br />135th Street. Project engineer. This project involved the installation of a 36-inch
<br />Transmission WM along NE/NW 135th Street from NW 7th Avenue to NE 16th Avenue
<br />as part of MD WASD’s plan to upgrade its transmission piping network. It showcased
<br />our team’s expertise in trenchless technologies, particularly in challenging right-of-
<br />way situations. The project included designing and installing approximately 14,900
<br />linear feet of 36-inch WM, with 1,285 linear feet of 36-inch HDPE WM installed via
<br />HDD under the Biscayne Canal. Additionally, the project required special MOT
<br />coordination with FDOT, and meticulous permitting handled by CHA with SFWMD
<br />and USACE, ensuring no delays. The team conducted thorough studies of existing
<br />bridge conditions to design the HDD at a depth of 80 feet below grade, ensuring no
<br />adverse effects on the bridge.
<br />Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department, FL, Emergency Replacement
<br />of 48-inch FM crossing Oleta River. Project engineer. This project involved an
<br />emergency installation of 800 LF of 48” FM under the Oleta River at NE 163rd Street
<br />using the HDD method. After a leak was found in the existing FM, CHA designed a
<br />bypass line via HDD to divert flows and allow repairs. The project included a traffic
<br />management plan for NE163rd Street and required in-depth analysis of the NW163rd
<br />Street bridge to confirm the HDD did not affect bridge piles. CHA completed the
<br />design in two weeks demonstrating their ability to execute projects swiftly.
<br />City of Fort Lauderdale. FL, 54-inch FM Redundant Emergency Replacement.
<br />Project engineer. The project involved installing over 15,000 LF of 54-inch HDPE force
<br />main, with a significant portion installed via HDD across six zones, navigating rivers,
<br />canals, bridges, and other sensitive areas. The design required complex compound
<br />and reverse curves to navigate right-of-way and environmental constraints and
<br />accounted for thermal expansion and pressure differentials. The project also
<br />involved securing permits from 11 jurisdiction agencies and completing certification
<br />for over 30 permits, with all plans and permits approved in under six months due to
<br />the emergency nature of the project.
<br />Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department, FL, Proposed 16-inch Water Main
<br />Along NW 37th Avenue. Project manager responsible for furnishing and installing
<br />approximately 16,000 linear feet of 16-inch and 12-inch ductile iron water main along
<br />NW 37 Avenue (NW 36 Street to NW 82 Street). Responsibilities included plans,
<br />specification preparation, and opinion of probable cost; permitting; and continuous
<br />coordination with the owner, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies. This project
<br />will guarantee the transfer of properties served by the City of Hialeah to the Miami-
<br />Dade Water and Sewer Department.
