<br />Jim is an experienced professional with 35 years of expertise in engineering design
<br />and management and project and program management for power and energy
<br />projects. His knowledge spans a broad spectrum of electrical systems, covering
<br />utilities, renewable generation and industrial and institutional facilities. Jim’s
<br />extensive background positions him as a knowledgeable and versatile leader in the
<br />power and energy sector. Representative project experience includes:
<br />Albany County Airport Authority, New York State Police Aviation Unit Hangar.
<br />Electrical engineer involved in the development of a 65,000 sf hangar, apron, and
<br />related site work that could satisfy all the requirements necessary to provide a full
<br />service facility for both local operations and the Governor’s protective team. This
<br />facility functions as the headquarters for the Police Aviation Unit for New York State,
<br />and was designed in accordance with all pertinent BOCA and NFPA building codes.
<br />Design elements include 49,000 sf of radiant floor heating, a high expansion foam
<br />fire suppression system for the hangar, a facility for painting aircraft and helicopter
<br />parts, an area for maintenance and parts, and two levels of administrative, training,
<br />and office space.
<br />Albany County Department of Purchasing, NY, New Judicial Facility. Senior
<br />electrical engineer for a new $24 million court facility. The project included a new
<br />90,000 sf justice facility including security features such as card control access,
<br />CCTV surveillance, visitor and staff screening, and building systems security. Also
<br />included were courtrooms, judges chambers, prisoner holding, jury assembly,
<br />district attorney offices, and other associated offices. The design included electrical
<br />and telecommunications systems.
<br />Albany County Airport Authoriy, Albany International Airport, Runway 19
<br />Extension & Safety Area Improvements. Principal electrical engineer responsible
<br />for the design oversight for the electrical systems involved with the Runway 19
<br />Extension and Safety Area Improvements at the Albany International Airport. The
<br />project included relocation of electrical utilities to support the improvements.
<br />Albany Port District Commission, Corning Preserve Enhancement Project -
<br />Phase I. Senior electrical engineer for the redevelopment of the Corning Preserve.
<br />The park now hosts a waterfront promenade with transient boat docking facilities,
<br />a 700-seat amphitheater and performance stage, improved pedestrian access
<br />and bikeway, a modern visitor’s center with interpretive facilities, and improved
<br />landscape plantings and pedestrian amenities. The project included extensive site
<br />and walkway lighting design.
<br />Albany County Department of Purchasing, NY, A-E Services for the
<br />Demolition of the Temporary Annex & Design of a New 80-100 Bed Mental
<br />Health Addition. Senior electrical engineer for the construction of a new Mental
<br />Health Facility at the Albany County Correctional Facility. CHA will replace a
<br />temporary housing unit, currently called the Annex. A new 80-100 bed permanent
<br />structure for the housing of all Albany County Mental Health inmates, including all
<br />of the necessary services that may be required such as offices, interview rooms,
<br />program room and an outdoor recreation area.
