For the last four years, he has worked as a traffic analyst performing and compiling processes and analyzing data and results. Alexis also performed quality control analysis and generated data graphs and reports using different software such as Tableau, Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, ArcGIS, Power BI, and QGis. He is also proficient in Primavera, where he has assisted on several projects with the scheduling portion to ensure that we meet the projected milestones. He has been able to assign dates to project activities, calculate the project’s finish date, and reveal the project’s critical path. Representative project experience includes: Miami-Dade County, FL, Countywide Traffic Signal Controller Upgrade to Smart System. Project engineer for the complete upgrade, migration, and integration of 2,900 signalized intersections in the county to the Siemens ATMS, Siemens SEPAC local controller software, and Siemens Model 270LX Controllers. Alexis is responsible for maintaining and updating the Microsoft Dynamic 365 software, which manages all the Traffic System Upgrade implementation tasks. Alexis supervises an IT team to customize the Microsoft Dynamic 365 software for the project’s specific needs. He also follows up with schedules, meeting milestones, and task tracking, develops indicators of the implementation process, and confirms the correct applicability of the developed software applications. Alexis also supports the oversight of the data conversion and migration, controller deployment and field installation. Florida Department of Transportation - District 6, Cow Key Bridge Rehabilitation Smart Work Zone System Procurement, Implementation & Management, Districtwide Traffic Engineering Data Collection Continuing Services Contract. Traffic engineering analyst assisting with work zone management and maintenance of traffic support. Alexis helped procure, test, and install a Smart Work Zone System that included CCTV cameras, Bluetooth data devices, and Wi-Fi-capable Portable Changeable Message Signs. Alexis has conducted several field reviews, collected data at the seven intersections within the project impact area, and recorded drone footage of the traffic operations along the US-1/Overseas Highway corridor in Stock Island, Florida. He was also tasked with creating the base weekly performance metrics reporting applications and conducting live monitoring of traffic operations during the reversible lane MOT transitions. Florida Department of Transportation - District 6, I-395 Signature Bridge Smart Work Zone System Management, Districtwide Traffic Engineering Data Collection Continuing Services Contract. Traffic engineering analyst assisting with work zone management support as part of the I-395 reconstruction project. Tasks includes attending meetings at the CEI or DB Offices to coordinate upcoming maintenance of traffic (MOT) changes, review proposed MOT plans, build a database of probe data sourced from the Regional Integrated Transportation Information System (RITIS), and developing performance dashboards to monitor travel times within the impacted area.
