PAGE 67 | RFQ 26-07-01; CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES <br />(CCNA) <br />TAB 3 - STAFFING <br />Adrian Alfonso, PE <br />Structural Engineering Lead <br />Adrian has over 14 years of experience designing bridges, retaining walls, and <br />miscellaneous structures. He has provided services to the Florida Department of <br />Transportation, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, the City of South Miami, the Greater <br />Miami Expressway (GMX), Miami-Dade Department of Transportation and Public <br />Works, and the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department. He is experienced with <br />Autocad, Open Bridge Designer, Microstation, GEOPAK, STAAD, and Mathcad for <br />bridges, walls, and structure design. Adrian supported the Bridge Maintenance <br />Office in District 6 using PONTIS and GIS for bridge inspection reports. He is also <br />experienced with the electronic review comments (ERC) system to review project <br />submittals. Adrian is dedicated to ensuring that projects are completed on time, <br />within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. Representative project <br />experience includes: <br />City of Miami, FL, A&E Services for Seawall Replacement. Project engineer <br />responsible for the design and rehabilitation of approximately 380 linear feet <br />of seawall along Biscayne Bay. Work included developing engineering plans for <br />modifying three existing seawalls and replacing five with new sheet-piling systems, <br />while coordinating closely with surveying, geotechnical, drainage, roadway, and <br />permitting disciplines. Contributed to climate-resilient design efforts focused <br />on raising top-of-wall elevations to address sea level rise, and integrated <br />environmentally friendly living shoreline elements from Kind Designs to enhance <br />marine habitat and ecological performance <br />City of Miami Beach, FL, A&E Services for Seawall Replacement. Project <br />engineer to replace three existing seawalls with a new post and panel seawall <br />system along Collins Avenue on the Intracoastal side of Miami Beach. Adrian was in <br />charge of the proposed sea walls’ plans, development and structural design. The <br />purpose of the sea wall was to increase the top of the wall elevation to mitigate the <br />effects of sea level rise. <br />Miami-Dade County DTPW, FL, Metro Mover Rejuvenation. Project engineer for <br />installing and extending elevated switch platforms attached to the existing metro <br />system for the improvements to electrical equipment. Adrian was responsible <br />for the platforms’ design, plans, and details. These included beam layouts and <br />geometry and structural design of existing and proposed structural elements. <br />Florida Department of Transportation - District 6, Reconstruction of SR <br />977/Krome Avenue (SW 232 Street to South of SW 184 Street/Eureka Drive), <br />Miami, FL. Structural engineer responsible for the design of bridges 871177 and <br />871178 over the C-102 Canal. The bridges were 69 feet single-span using FIB-36 <br />prestressed girders and pile-supported foundations at the abutments.
