<br />German’s nine years of experience include providing services as a senior roadway
<br />inspector, contract support specialist, construction project manager, and drainage
<br />design. He acted as a construction project manager for projects involving milling
<br />and resurfacing, maintenance of traffic, clearing and grubbing, sediment barrier,
<br />floating turbidity barrier, drainage, regular excavation, borrow excavation, bedding
<br />stone, riprap, embankment, fencing, and sod. As a senior roadway inspector,
<br />German provided inspection of concrete, asphalt, earthwork, maintenance of traffic,
<br />guardrail, lighting, signalization, sound walls, signing and pavement markings,
<br />fence, and ITS. He was involved with the milling and resurfacing for cross slope and
<br />profile corrections and placement of FC-5 on the Turnpike/HEFT and on I-75, as well
<br />as installing new drainage for roadway widening. As a drainage designer, German
<br />prepared drainage maps, new drainage installation for roadway widening, cross
<br />slope, and profile correction. Representative project experience includes:
<br />Florida Department of Transportation - District 1, DeSoto County from
<br />Manatee County Line to E of CR 661. FM No. 445473-1-52-01/02. Contract
<br />No. T1855. German is serving FDOT District 1 Heartland Operations Center as the
<br />Lead Senior Inspector for this project. The scope of work on this project includes
<br />Milling 3.5” and resurfacing 12 miles of SR 70 in DeSoto County, reconstruction
<br />with geogrid in multiple locations, roadway widening, drainage improvements,
<br />guardrail replacement and modifications, and traffic monitoring site upgrades.
<br />German’s responsibilities on this project include ensuring all work is performed
<br />in compliance with contract documents, tracking quantities, material testing and
<br />sampling, maintaining as-builts, coordinating daily activities, identifying conflicts,
<br />and preparing daily work reports.
<br />Florida Department of Transportation - District 1, U.S. 27 (Hendry County Line
<br />to Old U.S. 27). CEI senior inspector for this $8.7 million roadway improvements
<br />project. This project consists of milling up to 4.75 inches and resurfacing 4.2 miles
<br />of a four-lane highway, with overbuild for cross slope corrections, high polymer
<br />structural asphalt, and high polymer FC-5. The project also includes widening an
<br />auxiliary turn lane at Old U.S. 27, guardrail improvements, shoulder treatment,
<br />and signing and pavement markings. German is responsible for documenting
<br />the contractor’s daily activities, preparing inspection reports, material sampling,
<br />notifying the PA and the contractor of deficiencies, and assisting with MAC.
<br />Florida Department of Transportation District 1, Collier County, I-75 (SR-93)
<br />From MP 33.989 to MP 46.000, E1W80, 444008-4-52-01. German served as
<br />the senior inspector on this environmentally sensitive project along I-75 a limited
<br />access corridor, this portion of which is also referred to as Alligator Alley. The scope
<br />of work on this project consists of milling and resurfacing, shoulder widening, cross
<br />slope corrections with overbuild, guardrail installation, new emergency cross overs,
<br />wildlife crossings, and ITS improvements. On this project German assisted with
<br />reviewing the contractor schedules, and was responsible for inspecting asphalt
<br />operations, taking temperatures, measuring cross slopes, reviewing the QCRR each
<br />day, inspecting earthwork operations, collecting samples, taking densities, updating
<br />ERS, reviewing MOT, and tracking quantities.
