<br />Jorge has over 34 years of experience in transportation/structural and related
<br />projects, including airports, buildings and civil site work. Three years were
<br />spent with the Florida Department of Transportation’s District 6 office. Jorge’s
<br />transportation and structural engineering experience includes project management,
<br />roadway inspections, site civil inspections, signing and pavement marking
<br />inspections, public involvement and signal inspections. Representative project
<br />experience includes:
<br />Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department (WASD), FL, William
<br />Lehman Causeway Forcemain Project, Miami, FL. PCTS 16078 [T2707]. CEI
<br />senior inspector for this $4.4 million forcemain project assigned under the task
<br />authorization contract for MDWASD. The project includes the installation of
<br />approximately 6,060 LF of 24-inch, 20-inch, 16-inch, 12-inch, and 8-inch Sanitary
<br />Force Main on William Lehman Causeway and Yacht Club Way from W Country Club
<br />Dr. to Turnberry Way. Jorge is responsible for daily oversight of the construction
<br />activities, manage the inspection staff to ensure the contractor adheres to MDWASD
<br />safety standards, specifications and guidelines, review/process shop drawings,
<br />RFI’s, and pay applications, run bi-weekly meetings as well as all necessary onsite
<br />meetings, and conflict resolution meetings, and maintain well kept records of all
<br />daily activities, MOT, SWPPP and weather reports.
<br />Transportation and Public Works (DTPW), FL, SR 836 Express Bus Service and
<br />Park-and-Ride Bus Terminal Tamiami Station, Tamiami, FL. Senior inspector
<br />for providing construction engineering and inspection services for the construction
<br />of the SR-836 Express Bus Service Tamiami Station Park and Ride/Bus Terminal
<br />with Tamiami Station roadway improvements along SW 8th Street and SW 147th
<br />Avenue. The site development included clearing and grubbing over 8 acres of
<br />trees and vegetation on vacant land, sub-soil excavation and soil improvement of
<br />approximately 36,000 cubic yards of native muck material, and over 64,000 cubic
<br />yards of new embankment. It also included new structures such as a new driver’s
<br />lounge, pedestrian walkway canopy, bicycle cage, bus canopy special structures,
<br />and a 30-inch gateway sign and monument sign.
<br />Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works, FL, The
<br />Underline, Phase II. QA/QC manager for this $2.14 million design-build project, a
<br />part of a 10-mile linear park, urban trail, and living art destination that will transform
<br />the land below Miami’s Metrorail. The Underline comprises a 10-mile multimodal
<br />transportation corridor and world-class urban trail providing separate off-street
<br />bicycle and pedestrian paths, landscaping, lighting, street furniture, and amenities
<br />such as event gathering spaces, recreational fields, kiosks, gardens, etc.
<br />City of Doral, FL, Canal Bank Stabilization and NW 109th Avenue New
<br />Construction, Doral, FL. Senior inspector overseeing the construction of
<br />improvements for the canal stabilization at NW 117th Avenue (NW 25th Street to NW
<br />58th Street) and NW 25th Street (97th Avenue to 99th Avenue). The stabilization
<br />involved implementing the “sloping” method and the “stacking” method, which
<br />required excavation of canal slopes to ½:1 slope. Jorge was also in charge of the
<br />extension of NW 109th Avenue (NW 41 Street to NW 50 Street), including installing
<br />drainage, curb and gutter, sidewalk, and new roadway.

<br />CEI senior inspector for this $4.4M forcemain project assigned under the task authorization contract
<br />for M-D WASD. He oversees the installation of approximately 6,060 LF of various sizes of Sanitary Force
<br />Main in Aventura, managing construction activities, ensuring contractor adherence to safety standards
<br />and specifications, processing documentation, conducting bi-weekly and onsite meetings, and
<br />coordinating a design change for system redundancy.

<br />Senior inspector for providing construction engineering and inspection services for the construction
<br />of the SR-836 Express Bus Service Tamiami Station Park and Ride/Bus Terminal with Tamiami Station
<br />roadway improvements along SW 8th Street and SW 147th Avenue. The development involved clearing
