The environment is extremely aggressive, so all reinforcing <br />steel was hot dipped galvanized. <br />The scope included rubble rip rap, a cast-in-place concrete wall cap with backfill and <br />concrete filled gaps. It also included demolition, repairs, and modification to existing <br />adjacent seawall, and manatee grates. Plus, vibration testing and set verifications, tree <br />and mangrove removal, repair or replacement of existing utilities or irrigation, lighting <br />adjustment, drainage, sidewalk, curb, and resurfacing. Contractor cast the walls on site. <br />There was limited workspace available. Contractor worked from land and barge. Crossing <br />utilities made the installation complicated and plans were revised to adjust the paneling <br />for them.
