<br />The ongoing Stirling Road RRR project
<br />along SR 848 in Broward County, from
<br />Hollywood to Dania Beach, includes
<br />milling and resurfacing, pedestrian safety
<br />enhancements, and intersection upgrades.
<br />Scope covers new mast arms, rewiring,
<br />pedestrian signals, power upgrades,
<br />signage, roadway widening, curb and gutter,
<br />drainage, median reconstruction, and new
<br />curb ramps.

<br />The project involved modifying existing
<br />drainage, constructing new curb and gutter
<br />with inlets, elongating school crossing guard
<br />parking bays, and adding a new brick-paved
<br />parking area bordered by D-curb.
<br />Project improvements included roadway
<br />widening, addition of turn lanes, and
<br />extension of the bicycle path; signalization
<br />cabinet foundation replacement;
<br />reconstruction of brick crosswalks over
<br />asphalt bases; milling and resurfacing;
<br />pavement markings including green bike
<br />lanes; and installation of signage.
<br />Sidewalks were adjusted throughout to
<br />meet ADA requirements at approaches and
<br />ramps. The project spanned approximately
<br />13,813 linear feet (2.5 miles).

<br />The project included new drainage, new curb
<br />construction, median brick pavers, new bus
<br />bay with brick pavers and lighting, median
<br />and other landscaping and new irrigation
<br />mainline reconstruction.
<br />Project improvements included widening
<br />of turn lanes and bicycle path, construction
<br />of four new mast arms with foundations,
<br />including one for signs close to the I-75 off
<br />ramp. Also, reconstruction of brick crosswalks
<br />with asphalt base, milling and resurfacing,
<br />pavement markings, and installation of
<br />signing.

<br />Project 2259921 Island Improvements
<br />Scope included utility upgrades for residents
<br />throughout the island, roadway drainage
<br />improvements, overbuild corrections, new
<br />curb and gutter, milling and resurfacing,
<br />new driveways, and construction of a
<br />specialized composite path with cast-in-
<br />place concrete base and sides.
<br />Work also involved demolition and
<br />installation of median islands with
<br />landscaping and irrigation, as well as new
<br />specialized lighting throughout the island.
<br />Given that the Village is known as the
<br />‘Billionaire’s Bunker,’ the project required
<br />careful resident communication and
<br />coordination.

<br />Project consisted of the construction of a
<br />pedestrian bridge over the Turnpike exit
<br />ramp and a pedestrian bridge over NW 199

<br />FDOT District 4: I-75 Alligator Alley
<br />Environmental Education Project
<br />This project was located at the eastbound
<br />rest area at mile marker 30 on I-75 (Alligator
<br />Alley). Work included the construction of
<br />educational amenities and improvements to
<br />the existing facility, including reconfi gured
<br />parking lots, realigned access road, drainage
<br />structures, utilities, lighting, sidewalks, and
<br />tree relocation.
<br />The project featured a three-story
<br />observation tower with elevated boardwalks
<br />on a multi-span bridge supported by 200
<br />auger-cast foundations, as well as an exhibit
<br />wetland area with educational signage,
<br />stone walls, and geofabric. Additional
<br />components included ITS DMS signs, CCTVs,
<br />and wireless parking sensors.

<br />A project that included the removal of
<br />existing conventional lighting poles,
<br />installation of new pole foundations or

<br />installation of electrical conduits and wires
<br />and MOT supervision.

<br />Project consisted of the demolition and
<br />construction of 17 new ADMS Cantilevered
<br />Structures, CCTV camera poles, power
<br />services, ITS cabinets with transfer switch,
<br />and generator pads, along the approach
<br />streets to Sawgrass Expressway, Homestead
<br />exits at 288 Street and 137 Avenue, and
<br />Lake Worth Road.
