<br />on the Collins Canal using plumb and batter
<br />precast concrete piles and precast structural
<br />wall panels, including rubble riprap, cast-in-
<br />place wall caps with backfi ll, and concrete-
<br />fi lled gaps.
<br />Scope included demolition, repairs, and
<br />modifi cations to adjacent seawalls in a
<br />highly aggressive environment with strict
<br />environmental controls, including manatee
<br />monitoring and grate installation.
<br />Additional work included vibration testing,
<br />set verifi cations, tree and mangrove removal,
<br />utility and irrigation repairs or replacements,
<br />lighting adjustments, drainage, sidewalks,
<br />curbs, and resurfacing; walls were cast on-
<br />site by the contractor.

<br />The work consisted of installing a new
<br />seawall over an existing wall with plumb
<br />and batter cast precast concrete piles and
<br />pre-cast structural wall panels at Jefferson
<br />Avenue on the Collins Canal. The scope
<br />included rubble rip rap, a cast-in-place
<br />concrete wall cap with backfi ll and concrete
<br />fi lled gaps.
<br />It also included demolition, repairs,
<br />and modifi cation to existing adjacent
<br />seawall. Plus, vibration testing, settlement
<br />monitoring of structures, and set
<br />verifi cations, tree removal, repair or
<br />replacement of existing utilities or irrigation,
<br />lighting adjustment, drainage, sidewalk,
<br />curb, and resurfacing.
