For that reason, it is important that the CEI
team can perform engineering analysis within their
authorities to expedite the issue resolution process.
Our proposed team, with decades of experience and
knowledge on similar contracts, is fully capable of
performing construction engineering analysis. We are
committed to perform timely shop drawing reviews,
respond to RFIs, RFMs, and provide value-added
suggestions to the contractor and the client for better
projectoutcomes.Ourgoalistokeepprojectmoving
forward per approved schedule or at a better pace.
Grant Services
CED brings extensive experience in grant writing and
administration, particularly in supporting municipalities
and local government agencies. Our Grants &
Funding Services team focuses on strategic research,
application preparation, and ensuring full compliance
with administrative requirements. For each grant
program, we begin by identifying the City’s previous
experience with the program and whether an application
madepreviouslywassuccessful.Paramounttoourfirm’s
culture is identifying lessons learned and devising means
to improve. If applicable, we will request a de-brief of the
previous application to understand reasons for funding
being denied.
Once a decision to apply is made by the City, our team
will schedule a meeting to discuss the all key program
details. We will create a comprehensive list of all required
application items and – collaborating with the applicant,
projectpartners,engineers,andtechnicalstaff–assign
team members to each application item. An application
preparation schedule is developed working backward
from the application deadline, planned submittal at least
one week prior if possible, allotting additional time for
clientandteamfinalreviewandrevisions,publichearing
and community engagement, governing body required
actionatmeetings,anddevelopmentofprojectscope,
estimate, maps, concepts, and all other supporting
documentation.
Thekeytoasuccessfulgrantapplicationisstrong
organizational skills and consistent coordination which
is how our grant team operates. Once an application is
submitted, we will create a follow up plan based on the
program’s anticipated award announcement schedule.
Colliers Engineering & Design 12
