CED commits to: <br />• Rapid work-order proposal development <br />• Senior-levelprojectmanagerinvolvementthrough <br />projectlifecycle <br />• TimelycommunicationwithCitystaff <br />• Emergency response capability <br />• Localfieldpresence <br />• Monthly budget and schedule reporting <br />Ourobjectiveissimple:becomeanextensionofSunny <br />IslesBeachstaffandprovidetheresourcesnecessary <br />to successfully execute the City’s capital program <br />while maintaining accountability, quality, and schedule <br />performance. <br />ThisapproachhighlightsCED’sbiggestdifferentiators <br />to other consultants: local South Florida experience, <br />multidisciplinary resources, municipal expertise, <br />transportation/coastal/drainage resiliency <br />knowledge, QA/QC, responsiveness, and <br />understanding of Sunny Isles Beach’s specific capital <br />improvement priorities. <br />CED understands that the City is seeking professional <br />support in various disciplines that may be required by the <br />Cityonanasneededbasisforprojects. <br />Specifically,theCityisseekingtoawardcontractsfor <br />professional services under the following disciplines: <br />• Civil/General Engineering <br />• Coastal/Environmental Engineering Services <br />• Survey and Mapping <br />• Architectural Design <br />• Landscape Architecture <br />• TrafficEngineering <br />• CEI Services <br />CEDissubmittingqualificationsforeachofthedisciplines <br />notedintheCity’sRFQ.CEDisamulti-disciplinefirm <br />thathasthein-housestaffandresourcestoaddressthe <br />City’s requirements for each of these disciplines, which is <br />detailed in the following sections. <br />CEDhaslicensed/certifiedprofessionalsineachofthe <br />disciplinesthattheCityisrequiringlicensure/certification <br />for in compliance with the terms and provisions of the <br />RFQ. <br />CED confirms that we will comply with all provisions <br />in this RFQ and that the firm is not currently involved <br />in official reorganization or bankruptcy proceedings. <br />Project Approach <br />CEDpledgestotheCitythatprojectassignments <br />willreceiveappropriateresourcestofulfill <br />schedule and budget requirements. Our proposed <br />projectmanagerandkeytechnicalstaffhavethe <br />experience, commitment to quality, and depth <br />of resources to ensure availability to address all <br />assignments associated with this contract. CED is <br />dedicated to addressing the needs of our clients in a <br />manner that is responsive, budget-conscious, focused, <br />and technically sound. <br />Potential Tasks & Timeliness. With respect to <br />assignmentsthatinvolveCityprojects,ourcontract <br />manager shall clarify upon receipt of the assignments <br />from the City the deadlines that must be adhered to <br />by CED. If an issue arises during the processing of the <br />assignmentthatwouldaffecttheschedule,thecontract <br />managerwouldcommunicatewiththeCity’sproject <br />manager and discuss how this issue can be addressed <br />andadjustmentstotheoriginalschedule. <br />In regard to assignments pertaining to development <br />reviews and permit applications for work proposed within <br />the City right-of-ways, the contract manager shall adhere <br />to any timelines for processing reports and permits that <br />are prescribed in the City Code. If there are no timelines <br />prescribed in the City Code for the processing of reports <br />and permits , the contract manager will communicate <br />withappropriateCitystafftodeterminethedeadlinethat <br />must be adhered to for completing the assignment. <br />While assignments are being processed, whether on City <br />ordevelopersponsoredprojects,thecontractmanager <br />shallstayincommunicationwithkeyCitystafftoadvise <br />Colliers Engineering & Design   38
