He retains <br />extensive experience in the design of water, wastewater systems, master <br />planning, gas pipelines, roadway/drainage, site design/development, <br />production well rehabilitation, construction management and <br />construction field inspection. <br /> <br />Selected Relative Experience: <br />Egret Wastewater Tri-Plex Lift Station Improvements – City of Hallandale <br />Beach. This project consisted of the conversion of an existing triplex wet <br />pit dry pit wastewater pump station to a triplex submersible lift station. <br />The existing pump station was constructed in 1967 and consisted of three <br />large centrifugal pumps with the largest pump being a 200 HP. The <br />existing structure was converted into a submersible lift station with three <br />1,800 gpm submersible pumps. The rehabilitation included installing a <br />new influent structure on the east side of the pump station in which the <br />existing 30-inch diameter influent pipe will be exposed into a rectangular <br />open channel type structure. The structure is approximately 20 deep <br />where a mechanical sewage grinder rated at 2,500 gpm was installed on <br />a rail system for easy installation and removal. The structure is enclosed <br />with a concrete top slab with an aluminum hatch to access the mechanical <br />grinder for service and/or removal. The project included electrical, control <br />panel and emergency generator upgrades. The total design cost including <br />construction management services is $426,222 and the construction <br />cost was $3.5 million. <br />City of Hallandale Beach NE 7th Street Force Main Improvements – <br />Hallandale Beach, FL: Providing project management during engineering <br />design and construction management for the installation of approximately <br />3,900 linear feet of new 20” force main with all appurtenances along NE <br />7th Street due south and east of the Hollywood Dog Track in Hallandale <br />Beach along with a 60-foot jack-and-bore under railroad tracks at the <br />intersection of NE 7th Street and Dixie Highway. <br />Septic-to-Sewer Master Plan, Town of Pembroke Park, Florida. The scope <br />of work included the creation of an Updated Wastewater System Master <br />Plan to identify, document and evaluate the Town’s existing wastewater <br />management system. CAS will evaluate the existing force main network, <br />identify existing lift stations (a total of 35) and line conditions, capacities <br />and analyze future needs. The updated master plan will outline a <br />systematic phased approach to achieve system reliability, capacity, <br />increased efficiency and identify the infrastructure required to achieve <br />these goals. Total fees for this project are $372,490. <br />Town of Pembroke Park Sanitary Sewer Master Plan- Town of Pembroke <br />Park: Mr. Shonk prepared the Sanitary Sewer Master Plan for the Town <br />of Pembroke Park.
