Proven in Practice. <br />19 <br />CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION <br />Following engineering design for permitting, it is <br />important to confirm the project is constructed properly <br />and follows engineering and regulatory requirements. <br />Cummins Cederberg is highly experienced in construction <br />administration, starting with initial bidding and project <br />award through preconstruction meetings, special <br />inspections, and site visits until final completion. <br />Experience has shown it is important the design <br />engineers remained involved through the process, where <br />comprehensive knowledge of the design conditions and <br />underlying coastal processes correlates the varying <br />construction techniques with potential impacts to future <br />rate of deterioration and service life. <br />Cummins Cederberg has provided construction phase <br />services for numerous waterfront facilities, marinas, <br />parks, shorelines, and coastal projects – for private and <br />public sector clients. Our construction management staff <br />includes former marine contractors who bring critical <br />project management and field experience. Our team <br />has performed all tasks normally associated within <br />Construction of living shorelines, shoreline stabilization features, reef ball <br />habitat enhancements, and waterfront improvements as part of the Currie Park <br />Redevelopment project. <br />administration of construction projects – including <br />contract preparation, bidding and contractor selection, <br />preconstruction meetings, coordination with federal, <br />state, municipal agencies, onsite observation services, <br />progress tracking, pay application processing, contractor <br />submittal review, construction observations, preparation <br />of change orders, assistance with owner-contractor <br />dispute resolution, and project closeout and certification.
