Proven in Practice. <br />20 <br />GRANT FUNDING AND SUPPORT <br />Cummins Cederberg has a proven track record for <br />successful grant awards with municipal clients – utilizing <br />our extensive in-house grant tracking system where we <br />maintain a comprehensive list of grant opportunities <br />related to resilience, coastal and waterfront projects. Since <br />2021, our grant writing team secured and is managing <br />over $73M in grant funds with notable awards including <br />$16M for the Adaptive Redesign of Jose Marti Park, $20M <br />for the Redesign of Currie Park, and more recently, over <br />$32M dollars of grant funding for waterfront development <br />and improvement projects for our clients including City of <br />Hollywood and City of Sarasota. <br />Our experienced grants team are experts in this highly <br />competitive area and understand that when projects <br />incorporate resilient elements, public access, and other <br />key features, additional grant opportunities may be <br />available to supplement funding. Our grants team will <br />coordinate with the City and our engineers to incorporate <br />these elements to facilitate qualification to the extent <br />practicable. We will work to identify grant opportunities <br />and requirements early in the project timeline to optimize <br />potential supplemental funding sources. Further, our <br />grants team routinely works with our engineers to ensure <br />compliance with design and reporting requirements so <br />as not to jeopardize grant funding eligibility. For example, <br />the Resilient Florida grant requires design comply with <br />the Build America, Buy America (BABA) provisions; our <br />engineers will be sure to specify materials (e.g., steel <br />sheet pile) is made in America. <br />City of Hollywood Tidal Flood Mitigation and Shoreline Protection Program, encompassing 22 shoreline <br />segments and more than 10,000 linear feet of shoreline improvements. Cummins Cederberg secured <br />and is administering $21.2 million in Resilient Florida grant funding while providing coastal engineering, <br />environmental permitting, marine resource assessments, and construction support services.
