He is formally trained as a coastal and marine engineer <br />from the Technical University of Denmark. He has more than twenty <br />years of experience in coastal and marine engineering. Jannek <br />considered an expert in coastal engineering, specifically dealing with sea <br />level rise specializing in vulnerability assessments, focusing on enhancing <br />coastal resilience through detailed data analysis, flood mapping, and <br />strategic planning. <br />RELEVANT PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br />Winston Tower 700, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Construction of 240 <br />LF of seawall and repair of 800 LF seawall for shoreline stabilization at <br />large condominium. Above and below water condition inspection, seawall <br />replacement and repair design, permit application and processing with <br />DERM, USACE, and FDEP, construction administration. <br />Adaptive Redesign of Jose Marti Park, City of Miami, Florida. Serving as a <br />model for resilient waterfront parks that can adapt to current and future flood <br />rises associated with climate change and sea level rise, this project explores <br />ways to minimize tidal flood impacts and enhance waterfront access to <br />residents. Led the inundation modeling, and waterfront engineering design, <br />while the Cummins Cederberg team also led the environmental permitting, <br />coordination with FIND, and grant management. <br />Miami-Dade County Waterfront Parks Sea Level Rise & Flood Mitigation <br />Roadmap, Coral Gables, Florida. Senior project manager for analysis of the <br />impacts of sea level rise on park’s infrastructure and operations, as well as <br />flood mitigation concepts for planning and budgeting. Compiled existing survey <br />and LiDAR data to prepare general topographic map; infrastructure condition <br />assessment, remaining service life and adaption feasibility relative to sea <br />level rise; assessment of environmental conditions on site to understand <br />and document current conditions, as it would relate to environmental <br />permitting; conducted an engineering analysis to provide extreme tide water <br />levels; developed flood mitigation concepts and preliminary cost estimates; <br />coordinated stakeholder involvement; and developed an implementation <br />strategy. Project sites included Matheson Hammock, Crandon, Haulover, <br />Virginia Key, Biscayne Shores and Gardens, Blackpoint Marina, and <br />Homestead Bayfront Park. <br />Bal Harbour Village Vulnerability Assessment & Coastal Resilience Plan, <br />Bal Harbour Village, Florida. Principal engineer for town-wide vulnerability <br />assessment under the Resilient Florida grant program. Oversaw development <br />of a comprehensive asset inventory using statewide, local, and county data, <br />cataloged in a GIS geodatabase per Section 380.093 F.S.
