Leading a large-scale living shoreline project stabilizing <br />approximately 4,500 linear feet of Highway 98, overseeing environmental consulting, coastal engineering, and design <br />advancement to permit- level maturity. <br />Dune Walkover Replacements, Sanibel Island, Florida. Provided project management, coastal engineering <br />coordination, and regulatory permitting support for the design and replacement of fourteen (14) public dune walkovers <br />and boardwalks damaged by Hurricane Ian for the City of Sanibel. Supported multi site coordination including field <br />investigations, surveying, geotechnical exploration, coastal resilience evaluations, and development of marine <br />engineering designs for timber pile supported, ADA compliant, storm resilient structures. Assisted with FDEP CCCL <br />permitting across multiple beach access locations, including pre application coordination, and provided expedited <br />agency responses to advance regulatory review and support construction within a limited construction window. <br />Additional services included bid support and interagency coordination to advance the large scale coastal infrastructure <br />recovery program. <br />City of Sarasota Resiliency Initiative and Grant Administration, Sarasota, Florida. Facilitated project management, <br />grant administration, and resiliency planning support for the City of Sarasota’s Citywide Resiliency Initiative, a <br />multi part program focused on reducing coastal flood risk and advancing implementation of the City’s Vulnerability <br />Assessment and Adaptation Plan. Supported administration and compliance for a $2.6 million Florida Department <br />of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Resilient Florida Grant and a $500,000 West Coast Inland Navigation District <br />(WCIND) grant supporting Bayfront Park Seawall Rehabilitation, Ken Thompson Park Living Shoreline and Armoring, <br />and Citywide Topographic Mapping projects. Assisted with development of grant work plans, schedules, and contract <br />agreements, including revisions and amendments as projects progressed. Managed coordination with City staff, FDEP <br />grant managers, WCIND representatives, and consultant teams; supported preparation of quarterly grant reports, <br />payment requests, match documentation, and budget tracking; and facilitated alignment of resiliency policies, <br />stakeholder engagement, and technical deliverables across multiple concurrent projects. <br />Manasota Key Roadway Reconstruction, Sarasota County, Florida. Provided coastal engineering support for the PD&E <br />phase of a roadway reconstruction project addressing approximately 2,400 linear feet of hurricane damaged Gulf <br />front roadway. Led coordination of coastal engineering due diligence, regulatory screening, and site specific coastal <br />modeling to evaluate storm surge, wave transformation, runup, overtopping, and erosion hazards under existing and <br />future sea level conditions. Managed development of shoreline stabilization alternatives—including dune restoration, <br />buried revetments, sheet pile and hybrid systems—and advanced a preferred conceptual design with preliminary <br />sections, quantities, and technical memoranda to support the Preliminary Engineering Report and long term roadway <br />resiliency planning. <br />Monroe County US-1 Shoreline Stabilization Planning, Engineering and Design, Monroe County, Florida. Senior <br />Engineer / Technical Lead. Led extensive site visits and investigations with the full design team and performed a <br />detailed value engineering study for the protection of US-1, the only hurricane evacuation route within Monroe County <br />serving the Florida Keys. The value-engineering study outlined the federal authorization requirements and assessed <br />numerous design alternatives through preliminary designs, cost estimates, functionality rankings, lifecycle performance <br />and other parameters to provide a justifiable recommendation for final engineering design and construction.* <br />*Services provided from previous firms
