Provided coastal and marine engineering <br />services for the assessment, design, and replacement of the existing marina seawall. The project included inspection <br />and evaluation of approximately 2,800LF of seawall, resiliency analysis for sea level rise and storm surge, coordination <br />with marina improvements, and integration with riprap and dock interface conditions. Services performed included <br />field inspections, structural and resiliency assessments, development of engineering recommendations, preparation <br />of signed and sealed reports, and coordination with environmental and regulatory stakeholders. The project has been <br />completed. <br />La Coloma Marina Renovation, Miami, Florida. Provided marine and coastal engineering services for the renovation <br />of an existing 45-slip marina located along the Miami River, undertaken to address aging infrastructure, regulatory <br />compliance, and operational constraints. The project includes slip reconfiguration, demolition and replacement of <br />existing seawalls, construction of a new seawall and backfill, overwater dock structures, a pile-supported Riverwalk, <br />and replacement of marina utilities including water and electrical systems. Services performed include marine <br />structural inspections, bathymetric surveys, conceptual and final engineering design, preparation of signed and sealed <br />construction documents, environmental permitting coordination with Miami-Dade County DERM, Florida Department <br />of Environmental Protection, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and ongoing construction administration support. The <br />project is currently in progress. <br />One Brickell Riverfront Seawall Replacement, Miami, Florida. Provided marine and structural engineering for the <br />replacement of approximately 400LF of seawall along the Miami River, including marginal docking and mooring <br />improvements. The project features a new sheet pile bulkhead with reinforced concrete cap designed to meet current <br />City of Miami requirements and accommodate future seawall elevation increases. Services included engineering <br />design, construction drawings and calculations, environmental permitting, and construction administration. The <br />project is currently under construction. <br />Adaptive Redesign of Jose Marti Park, City of Miami, Florida. Provided engineering services for the adaptive <br />redevelopment of a 13-acre, multi-use waterfront park along the Miami River, undertaken to address increasing <br />tidal flooding and sea level rise while enhancing public waterfront access. The project includes a floating boardwalk, <br />resilient seawall, living shoreline planters, water taxi slip, and park-wide waterfront improvements incorporating <br />nature-based solutions. Services performed included marine structural and waterfront engineering design, seawall <br />design, inundation modeling, bathymetric survey coordination, engineering inspections, environmental permitting <br />support, and development of tidal flooding mitigation strategies. The project is advancing as a nationally recognized <br />resilient waterfront initiative and is Florida’s first WEDG-verified park, serving as a model for climate-adaptive urban <br />waterfront redevelopment. <br />Coronado Condominium Seawall & Dock Replacement, Highland Beach, Florida. Provided marine and coastal <br />engineering services for the replacement of an aging waterfront bulkhead and associated dock structures along <br />the Intracoastal Waterway to address structural deterioration and improve long-term shoreline stability. The project <br />included replacement of approximately 450LF of seawall using steel sheet piles supported by prestressed concrete <br />batter piles with a reinforced concrete cap, along with replacement of nine finger docks supported on timber piles. <br />Responsibilities included above- and below-water inspections, engineering design, preparation of construction <br />documents, coordination of environmental permitting with FDEP and USACE, and comprehensive construction <br />administration services. Construction was completed and the project is fully closed out. <br />Miami Marine Stadium Boat Ramps, Miami, Florida. Provided marine engineering design and construction-phase <br />services for new boat ramp and docking facilities supporting the restoration of the historic Miami Marine Stadium on <br />Virginia Key. The project included the design of a four-slip concrete boat ramp with a 1V:6H slope, two fixed concrete <br />access piers approximately 70 feet long, and two 50-foot-long floating docks. Services encompassed marine engineering <br />design, coordination with environmental scientists to support a required marine resource survey, and preparation of <br />construction documents. Responsibilities included oversight of both design and construction inspections to ensure <br />quality, regulatory compliance, and conformance with approved plans.
