<br />Natalie is responsible for performing aquatic and terrestrial biological
<br />assessments, writing technical and analytical reports, and processing
<br />local, state, and federal environmental regulatory permit applications. Her
<br />professional expertise focuses on Miami-Dade County RER, FDEP, SFWMD,
<br />and USACE requirements and she is familiar with the environmental permitting
<br />processes for coastal projects in Puerto Rico. She is an experienced diver who
<br />has conducted benthic monitoring and marine resource surveys throughout
<br />South Florida and the Caribbean including hardbottom, coral, and seagrass
<br />surveys. Natalie specializes in environmental permitting and compliance,
<br />marine biological monitoring, benthic habitat delineation, habitat restoration
<br />and mitigation, coral relocation, and scientific reporting.
<br />RELEVANT PROJECT EXPERIENCE
<br />Haulover Shoreline Stabilization, Miami-Dade County, Florida. Shoreline
<br />stabilization efforts at Haulover Park, encompassing 3,800 LF of shoreline
<br />north of Haulover Inlet. A phased environmental permitting process in
<br />collaboration with Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces
<br />Department (PROS). Marine resource surveys during the federally recognized
<br />growing season to document seagrasses, corals, and other submerged
<br />resources along approximately 1,500 LF of shoreline. Data collection icoral
<br />counts, transect data collection, and in-situ resource edge delineations.
<br />Prepared subsequent Environmental Survey Report detailing results of
<br />resource survey.
<br />Bay Harbor Islands Kayak Launch, Bay Harbor Islands, Florida. Conducted
<br />an environmental marine resource assessment to support the design and
<br />regulatory permitting of a proposed ADA-accessible public kayak launch at a
<br />Town of Bay Harbor Islands–owned waterfront parcel. The project focused on
<br />evaluating submerged lands adjacent to the site for the presence of benthic
<br />habitats and other marine resources that could influence project design and
<br />permitting requirements. Services included field surveys, documentation
<br />of marine resources, and preparation of an Environmental Survey Report
<br />summarizing findings and regulatory considerations. The survey results were
<br />completed and submitted in support of local, state, and federal permitting
<br />approvals.
<br />Matheson Hammock Boardwalk Permitting, Miami-Dade County, Florida.
<br />This project involves the construction of a new boardwalk along a mangrove
<br />trail within Matheson Hammock Park involving mangrove trimming and some
<br />wetland impacts. Conducted site visits with agency staff to delineate project
<br />footprint and vegetative impacts. Assisted in processing environmental
<br />regulatory permits with DERM, NFC, EEL, FDEP, and USACE.
<br />Miami Beach Living Shorelines, City of Miami Beach, Florida. This project
<br />involves the design and permitting of living shorelines at three City-owned
<br />sites in Miami Beach. Led benthic surveys at each of the sites to inform project
<br />feasibility and prepared environmental survey reports detailing biological
<br />findings. Responsible for preparation and continued processing of DERM,
<br />FDEP, and USACE permit applications. Extensive coordination with the City,
<br />subconsultants, and regulatory agencies.
