RFQ #26-07-01 | 77 <br /> <br />Huntley Higgins, PE, PMP <br />CHIEF CIVIL ENGINEER <br /> <br /> <br />Summary <br />Mr. Higgins has 30 years of consulting and civil engineering infrastructure experience. <br />Specifically, his experience includes the planning, design, permitting, and construction <br />administration of public infrastructure projects - including water, wastewater and reclaimed water <br />utilities, drainage, stormwater management, and general site civil services. Mr. Higgins has <br />served as Project Manager and Technical Reviewer on several other contracts and projects that <br />are similar in size and complexity to the projects identified in the City’s CIP. <br />Sunny Isles Water Main Replacement Improvements <br />CLIENT City of North Miami Beach | ROLE Project Manager <br />Project Manager responsible for the replacement of approximately 10,500 LF of undersized <br />watermains within the City of Sunny Isles’ right-of-way. The goal of this project was to upgrade <br />existing watermains to enhance potable water supply and improve fire protection. The limits of <br />the project are bounded by NE 183rd Street to the north, NE 174th Street to the south, Collins <br />Avenue to the east and North Bay Road to the west. In addition, there was also a portion of the <br />project that replaces an existing aerial water main crossing under an existing bridge at Atlantic <br />Isle. The scope of work included pre-design, design, permitting and construction administration. <br />Palmer Park Site & Parking Lot Improvements <br />CLIENT City of South Miami Public Works | ROLE Project Manager and Engineer of Record <br />Project Manager and Engineer of Record for the design of Palmer Park’s improvements to its <br />south & east parking lot. The project included the design of a site plan. grading, striping, signage, <br />parking lot reconstruction, pavement milling & resurfacing, miscellaneous roadway repairs, <br />landscaping, sidewalk and ADA accessibility. The drainage system included an innovative <br />design that included the use of filter socks, exfiltration trenches and a CDS hydrodynamic <br />separator to alleviate flooding. <br />Pembroke Road and SW 184th Avenue Intersection Improvements <br />CLIENT Broward County Highway Construction and Engineering Department | ROLE Project <br />Manager <br />Project Manager responsible for managing the design delivery, permitting and construction <br />administration for roadway intersection improvements at Pembroke Road and SW 184th <br />Avenue. The project included the structural design of mast arms to support traffic signal, <br />sidewalk improvements, ADA accessibility, signage and pavement markings. <br />North Parking Lot Reconstruction <br />CLIENT Broward College | ROLE Project Manager <br />Project Manager responsible for managing the design, permitting and construction <br />administration for the South Campus’ north parking lot improvements. The construction cost of <br />the project was valued at $900,000.00. The project included major reconfigurations to the <br />parking lot’s grades, geometry, and traffic circulation. In addition, the project included lighting, <br />pavement reconstruction, signage, pavement striping, landscaping and irrigation improvements <br />as well as ADA accessibility.
