RFQ #26-07-01 | 95 <br /> <br /> <br />Girish Thallapragada, PE <br />SENIOR ENGINEER <br /> <br />Summary <br />Girish Thallapragada, PE has 26 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in the <br />areas of traffic engineering, transportation systems management and operations (TSM&O), <br />intelligent transportation systems (ITS), lighting, signalization and tolling. Girish successfully led <br />numerous ITS projects and initiatives from inception to completion for the Florida Department <br />of Transportation and Greater Miami Expressway Agency (GMX). Some of the projects led by <br />Girish have earned awards from the Intelligent Transportation Society of Florida (ITS Florida), <br />and the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America). Over the past fifteen years, <br />Girish has part of major South Florida projects like the I-95 Express Lanes, SR 826 Express <br />Lanes, D6 TSM&O Master Plan, GMX Technology Plan, GMX Tolling and ITS Projects, MDC <br />ATMS Upgrade Project, ITS Device Replacements, SunGuide TMC Retrofit, ITS Maintenance, <br />Port Miami Tunnel, SW 8 Street and NW 119 Street ASCT Pilots, Warning Gates Installation <br />Pilot, and many more. <br /> MDC DTPW GEC on Traffic Signal Operations <br />CLIENT Miami-Dade County Public Works | ROLE Project Manager <br />Project Manager and provides technical support to MDC DTPW Traffic Signals and Signs <br />Division as part of the Traffic Signal Operations ISD Project No. E19-DTPW-01 DTPW No. <br />20190029. This is a 7 year and involves approximately over 2800 traffic signalized intersections <br />in the County. As a subconsultant, EAC is providing traffic signal engineering related technical <br />services on this project that will deploy systemwide new traffic signal controllers, vehicle <br />detection and new ATMS system. Led the development of the procurement documentation for <br />the contract modifications of this Project. Project Liaison and is responsible for coordination with <br />other government agencies like FDOT D6, local cities and municipalities. Key member of the <br />project management team supporting in overseeing the Project progress. <br /> Districtwide Signal Retiming Consultant, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties, FL <br />CLIENT FDOT District 6 | ROLE Senior ITS Engineer <br />As Senior ITS Engineer, provided technical support for arterial ITS and technology related <br />initiatives like Monroe County Traffic Signal System – Automated Traffic Signal Performance <br />Measures (ATSPM) Implementation Plan. The ATSPM Implementation Plan included research <br />of existing field conditions and infrastructure capabilities; industry outreach of ATSPM vendors <br />and government agencies that deployed ATPSM; review of ATSPM related publication; and <br />coordination with D6 TSM&O staff. <br /> <br />SR 924/NW 119 Street ASCT Pilot Project, Miami-Dade County, FL <br />CLIENT FDOT District 6 | ROLE Project Manager <br />Project Manager responsible for overseeing the development of the Pilot Project procurement <br />documents and lead owner’s representative for the deployment of an adaptive signal control <br />system along NW 119 Street from SR 924 Gratigny Parkway to NW 5 Avenue Street. This 3- <br />mile and 15-signalized intersection corridor included a next generation traffic signal controller’s <br />upgrade, new video detection system, new fiber optic cable- based communications system, <br />among others. The procurement documents included development of the Systems Engineering <br />documents.
