<br />• Solar photovoltaic and distributed-energy coordination, including service interconnection,
<br />distribution modifications, protective devices, metering, and integration with EV charging.
<br />• Pump, lift-station, and municipal process power, motor loads, controls interfaces, variable-frequency
<br />drives, disconnects, generators, and facility electrical upgrades.
<br />• Electrical systems for new buildings, renovations, public safety facilities, community centers, public
<br />works facilities, parks, piers, and other occupied municipal properties.
<br />• Construction documents, technical specifications, cost estimates, bid forms, permitting, bidding
<br />assistance, construction administration, on-site observation, testing coordination, punch lists, and
<br />record-document review.
<br />• Three-dimensional coordination and project-specific renderings where they improve City review,
<br />utility coordination, constructability, or public presentation.
<br />3.5 Regulatory, Permitting, and Utility Coordination
<br />ECF’s electrical work is developed around the approval path for each task order. For City building projects,
<br />the team will coordinate with the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Miami-Dade County, and the applicable fire
<br />authority. For service, transformer, metering, undergrounding, renewable-energy, and outage work, ECF
<br />will engage FPL early and track utility decisions as schedule activities. For roadway and right-of-way
<br />assignments, the team will coordinate the electrical work with FDOT, Miami-Dade County traffic and
<br />public works requirements, maintenance-of-traffic needs, and the civil or transportation engineer of
<br />record. Where an electrical assignment supports a coastal, stormwater, waterfront, or environmentally
<br />regulated project, ECF will coordinate its work with the prime consultant and the requirements of DERM,
<br />DEP, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as applicable.
<br />ECF’s utility experience includes direct coordination for new electrical services, metering, transformer
<br />arrangements, generator-supported distribution, and service separation. The firm’s work for the Port of
<br />Palm Beach Annex Property included utility-provider coordination for the new power and lighting system.
<br />ECF has also designed utility service modifications and FPL-coordinated electrical infrastructure for
<br />industrial and waterfront facilities.
