The Town Docks have provided berthing for power and sail yachts up to 260 feet in length since the 1940s. Following updates and expansions between 1993 and 1998, the current project expands the marina footprint to provide deeper drafts and larger slips that accommodate the growing demand for larger yachts. The project also includes replacement of shoreline stabilization and upgrades to the upland civil infrastructure. Edgewater provided environmental and regulatory permitting support, including a benthic survey, field report, and pre application meetings with FDEP and USACE. Edgewater prepared permit application packages for the dredging and marina expansion and responded to Requests for Additional Information, resulting in issuance of both FDEP and USACE permits. Edgewater also provided marine structural, site civil, and landscape architecture services. The team designed pile supported platforms for two over water building replacements, extended the water main, upgraded the sanitary sewer lift stations, and improved the waste handling and recycling facility.
