<br />Ron Schults, P.E. | CEO/Principal-in-Charge
<br />Mr. Schults will provide executive oversight and senior technical guidance for environmental and
<br />coastal engineering assignments performed for the City of Sunny Isles Beach. With more than 46
<br />years of experience in marina, waterfront, shoreline, and coastal infrastructure, he has contributed to
<br />the planning, design, and development of more than 400 marina facilities and numerous waterfront
<br />resiliency projects throughout the United States.
<br />For this continuing services contract, Mr. Schults will advise the project team on complex coastal
<br />and waterfront assignments involving shoreline stabilization, seawalls, marine structures, marina
<br />infrastructure, flood mitigation, resiliency improvements, and related environmental considerations.
<br />He will provide senior review of engineering analyses, technical recommendations, design documents,
<br />cost considerations, and constructability to support durable, practical, and economically responsible
<br />solutions.
<br />Mr. Schults will also assist with strategic decision making when assignments involve challenging site
<br />conditions, permitting constraints, phased construction, or the need to maintain waterfront operations
<br />during implementation. His extensive experience will provide the City with senior level insight throughout
<br />planning, design, permitting, and construction support, as authorized under individual task orders.
<br />Level of Involvement: Executive oversight, senior technical review, strategic guidance, and quality
<br />assurance for coastal and waterfront assignments.
<br />Erik Schults, P.E. | President/Project Manager
<br />Erik Schults will serve as Project Manager and the primary point of contact for the City of Sunny Isles
<br />Beach, providing overall project management, technical oversight, and coordination for environmental
<br />and coastal engineering assignments. He will be responsible for managing task orders, coordinating
<br />with City staff, overseeing project schedules and budgets, and ensuring all services are delivered in
<br />accordance with the City’s objectives, regulatory requirements, and established timelines.
<br />Erik has extensive experience managing coastal and marine infrastructure projects throughout
<br />Florida, Michigan, New York, and the Caribbean. His experience includes shoreline stabilization,
<br />seawalls, marine structures, coastal resiliency improvements, bathymetric and topographic surveying,
<br />environmental permitting, construction administration, and waterfront planning. He has successfully
<br />managed projects from initial feasibility and field investigations through design, permitting, bidding,
<br />and construction phase services. His background also includes environmental monitoring and
<br />construction oversight in support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
<br />For the City’s assignments, Erik will oversee project planning, coordinate field investigations and site
<br />assessments, direct engineering design, manage agency coordination and permitting activities,
<br />and facilitate communication among the City, regulatory agencies, subconsultants, and project
<br />stakeholders. He will lead interdisciplinary coordination to ensure projects are delivered efficiently,
<br />maintain high quality standards, and support the City’s long term environmental stewardship and
<br />coastal resiliency objectives.
<br />Level of Involvement: Project management, client coordination, technical oversight, permitting
<br />coordination, quality control, and management of design and construction phase services.
