Project coordinator <br />for a rail upgrade at the MOTCO naval facility near Concord. <br />Coordinated aquatic resources delineation and federally <br />regulated species habitat assessment primarily for salt marsh <br />species. <br />Granite Construction; New Sacramento Weir, Widened <br />Bypass, and Fish Passage Facility, Yolo County, CA. Project <br />coordinator for oversight of environmental compliance <br />during construction providing biological and environmental <br />compliance support including preconstruction clearance <br />surveys, compliance monitoring, fish handling and relocation, <br />management plan development, and regulatory guidance. <br />Applied and received CDFW handling permit for fish rescue <br />operations. <br />American River Common Features Project, Supplemental <br />EIS and Subsequent EIR, Department of Water Resources, <br />Sacramento, CA. Assisted preparation of the Fisheries Chapter <br />of a joint Supplemental EIS and Subsequent EIR addressing <br />erosion protection, flood control improvements, and habitat <br />mitigation along the American and Sacramento rivers. GEI <br />responsibilities include CEQA compliance, 404(b)(1) analysis, <br />Delta Plan consistency certification, public outreach, CEQA <br />Findings, and mitigation monitoring. <br />Extraction Barrier and Brackish Water Treatment Project, <br />United Water Conservation District, Oxnard, CA. Evaluated <br />biological and natural resources for a proposed project <br />to mitigate seawater intrusion including extraction wells, <br />reverse osmosis treatment, pipelines, and permitting strategy <br />development. Biological resources of note included federal <br />protected marine mammals, sea turtles, and special-status <br />salmonids. <br />Butte Slough Outfall Gates Rehabilitation Project, <br />Department of Water Resources, Sutter and Colusa <br />Counties, CA. Prepared Environmental Settings and analyzed <br />project impacts to aquatic biological resources, terrestrial <br />resources, and hydrology. Prepared Biological Assessment and <br />Incidental Take Permit applications for listed fish species. <br />Tisdale Weir Rehabilitation and Fish Passage Project, <br />U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Department of Water <br />Resources, Sutter County, CA. Assisted in deliverable <br />oversight and prepared an adaptive management plan <br />to comply with federal permit conditions. Authored CESA <br />Incidental Take Permit application for fish and bird species. The <br />project includes structural repairs and construction of new fish <br />passage facilities. <br />Sutter Collecting Canal Sediment Removal Project, <br />California Department of Water Resources, Sutter County, <br />CA. Biologist conducting construction compliance monitoring <br />to minimize impacts to special-status species including giant <br />garter snake. Conducted handling of federal candidate species <br />northwestern pond turtle during sediment removal and culvert <br />repair activities. <br />Colusa Bypass Channel Capacity Rehabilitation Project, <br />California Department of Water Resources, Colusa, CA. <br />Lead biologist conducting habitat assessment and suitability <br />analysis for numerous special-status species and prepared <br />biological resources technical report. Coordinated with <br />geotechnical and cultural teams to support Section 408 <br />permitting. <br />Cache Creek Rehabilitation Project, Department of Water <br />Resources, Yolo County, CA. Project Coordinator responsible <br />for coordinating client meetings, delegating technical work <br />and CEQA document sections, coordinating field assessments, <br />conducting Swainson’s hawk surveys, monitoring drone work <br />near protected wildlife, and completing biological technical <br />reports. <br />American River Parkway Natural Resource Management <br />Plan, Sacramento County Regional Parks, Sacramento, CA. <br />Provided analysis of special-status and invasive species within <br />the 29-mile Lower American River reach and co-authored <br />biological resources section of final management plan <br />providing conservation direction while supporting public use. <br />North Sacramento Streams and Sacramento River East <br />Levee Improvements Project, Sacramento Area Flood <br />Control Agency, Sacramento County, CA. Biologist for <br />CEQA and NEPA compliance and mitigation monitoring for <br />improvements securing FEMA accreditation of 100-year flood <br />protection for levees and associated channels and creeks. <br />Project support includes numerous biological and wetland <br />technical studies. <br />Bear Gulch Upper Diversion Fish Passage Project, California <br />Water Service, Woodside, CA.
