1,200 LT New Marine Railway with Turntable Transfer, Point <br />Hope Maritime, Victoria, British Columbia: Responsible <br />for all analysis and design for a major reconstruction of the <br />existing marine railway to upgrade it to 1,200 LT including <br />improvements to the track foundation capacity with addition of <br />more piles, reconstruction of the hauling machine foundation <br />and the design of a new end transfer system with turntable. <br />Shore Protection <br />Port Lands Flood Protection Project, Toronto: Served as <br />Senior Consultant for QA/QC review of over 1,000m of king pile <br />dockwall and 800m of dumped and placed stone revetment <br />located on Lake Ontario. The dockwalls had to be designed to <br />withstand high flows, flooding as well as lake ice and ice floe. <br />Shoreline Stabilization, Atlantic Salt, Inc., Staten Island, <br />NY: Performed design for stabilization of approximately 2,000 <br />linear feet of shoreline on the Kill Van Kull. This $10+ million <br />project included the rehabilitation of commercial industrial <br />shoreline with a combination of bulkheads and revetment. <br />Major issues included revetment design to eliminate the severe <br />erosion impacts of the channel from waves, wakes and current <br />forces, major bulkhead construction for deep draft vessel <br />berthing and dredging with upland and offshore disposal. <br />Town Landing, Oak Bluffs, MA: Performed construction phase <br />services on this project for replacement of the existing steel <br />bulkhead and improvements in the layout of the berthing <br />facility.
