24IWFLFTLD016838.2026 <br />ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES <br />(CCNA) RFQ # 26-07-01 <br />CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL <br />CIVIL ENGINEERING: <br />Village of Key Biscayne Continuing A/E <br />Services Contract, <br />Key Biscayne, FL <br />Kimley-Horn serves as an on-call professional services consultant to the Village <br />of Key Biscayne, providing multidisciplinary planning, engineering, architectural, <br />and project management support on an as-needed basis. Through this continuing <br />services contract, our team assists the Village with a wide range of capital <br />improvement projects, including planning, design, permitting, bidding assistance, <br />construction administration, and stakeholder coordination. <br />North Beach Undergrounding, Hollywood, FL <br />The City of Hollywood chose to convert the aerial electric, communication, <br />and cable lines in this coastal community from overhead to an underground <br />location. Kimley-Horn serves as prime consultant who designed and <br />permitted the underground conversion process in close coordination with <br />FPL, AT&T, and Comcast. Kimley-Horn performed the detailed design for <br />this coastal neighborhood project consisting of nine streets on the north <br />end of Hollywood Beach. Kimley-Horn designed the conduit and pull box <br />infrastructure for the electric (FPL) and communications (AT&T and Comcast) <br />utilities along with providing easement acquisition assistance, utility provider <br />coordination, street lighting design, FDOT and FDEP CCCL permitting, and <br />infrastructure upgrade design services. Since this project is located on one <br />of Florida’s coastal communities, sea turtles were considered in the street <br />lighting design. Kimley-Horn supported the City of Hollywood Beach by <br />preparing presentation materials, attending, and presenting or participating in <br />public meetings regarding the project.
