26IWFLFTLD016838.2026 <br />ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES <br />(CCNA) RFQ # 26-07-01 <br />CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL <br />Miami-Dade County Continuing Service Contract for Engineering and <br />Design-Related Professional Services under the FDOT Safe Routes to <br />School Local Agency Program for the DTPW - E20-DTPW-03, Miami- <br />Dade County, FL <br />Kimley-Horn has been providing general civil engineering, roadway, traffic, and transportation planning for alternative <br />modes of transportation for Safe Routes to Schools (SRTS) and other FDOT Local Agency Program (LAP) funded <br />projects within Miami-Dade County since 2018. This contract is a task work order-based contract. The intent of the <br />SRTS program is to provide alternative modes of transportation that are safe for children, which in turn encourages <br />walking and bicycling to school. In addition to providing an alternative mode of transportation, SRTS also promotes <br />healthy habits by providing an opportunity for children to engage in much needed physical activity before and after <br />school each day. Kimley-Horn has completed plans for several schools including: <br /> ĥ Florida City Elementary <br /> ĥ Robert Russa Moton Elementary <br /> ĥ Flagami Elementary <br /> ĥ Carrie P. Weeks/Westview K-8 Center <br /> ĥ Shadowlawn Elementary <br /> ĥ Hubert O. Sibley K-8 Academy <br /> ĥ Henry W. Mack K-8 Center <br /> ĥ North Dade Middle School <br /> ĥ Miami Northwestern Senior High <br /> ĥ Miami Southridge High School <br /> ĥ Miami Central High School <br />Safe Routes to School Miami Central High School - FPID 445743-1 <br />The project focuses on enhancing pedestrian infrastructure around Miami Central Senior High School, including <br />crosswalks, pedestrian signs, sidewalks, curb ramps, and detectable warning surfaces, covering a 0.010-mile section <br />on a composite four-lane roadway in Miami-Dade County. The project is classified under local agency program (LAP) <br />contract class and not under federal oversight. <br />Dates of service: 2024–2026 <br />Safe Routes to School North Dade Middle School - FPID 445765-1 <br />This project is part of the FY19 Safe Routes to School program and is identified as the 2019 MPO Priority #1. The scope <br />of work includes the installation of new pedestrian crosswalks and pedestrian signage to improve visibility and safety, <br />the closure of existing gaps in the sidewalk network to enhance connectivity, and the construction of ADA-compliant <br />pedestrian curb ramps with detectable warning surfaces. These improvements are intended to increase accessibility, <br />promote pedestrian safety, and support safe, walkable routes for students and the surrounding community. <br />Dates of Service: 2024–2026 <br />Safe Routes to School Miami Northwestern Senior High School - FPID 445766-1 <br />The scope of work includes new pedestrian crosswalks and signage to improve visibility and safety, sidewalk gap <br />closures to strengthen network connectivity, and ADA-compliant curb ramps with detectable warning surfaces. These <br />enhancements will expand accessibility, improve pedestrian safety, and support safe, walkable routes for students and <br />the surrounding neighborhood. <br />Dates of Service: 2024–2026 <br />On-Call
